Saved £25 ish on monthlt bill, just lost movies that we hardly ever used and gone to lower phone pack. Well chuffed. Oh and got 60m broadband now (well by next Thursday when they install a super hub) instead of 50 m |

I presume you still had to pay the £50 'upgrade' fee? Though even if you did you'll make that back in no time. We do use the movies and sports so that's not really an option for us but good to know you were able to get the v+ included. |

You guys seem much better at knowing what we should and shouldn't be paying for this stuff... perhaps you can help. The Virgin website currently tells me I'm paying this much:
http://i222.photobucket.com/albums/d...13at180009.png We've been thinking about trying to get the Tivo box, but the website wouldn't let me look at upgrading online so I gave them a call. The woman said it would cost £60.65 a month, plus the £49.95 installation fee. Does this sound about right? or do you think I could get it cheaper? Thanks guys!

I just did a comparison between the Essential Package and the Premier Package and it says that if you have 100 Broadband, XL TV and Phone then you can pay £4.50 a month less if you go for the Premier Package and add another box of your choice

As usual my dealings with VM call centre never goes smoothly
![]() Currently paying 108.71 per month for 50Mb BB, 1 x Tivo 1Tb plus 1 x V+ box, XL TV and XL phone. Once upon a time it was VIP50 but I don't know what it's called today ![]() So called up to change to VIP Collection. First operative with whom I spoke was perfectly helpful - nice young lady with an asian accent - she confirmed that the change was feasible and would leave my bill at 103.90 Nice. She then advised that she'd need to transfer me to a colleague who'd put things in motion. After a couple of minutes of elevator music a gentleman with a Scottish accent popped onto the line and asked me what I wanted So, I explained it all to him again and he said that all would be fine with that except that I'd need a manned install at 49.95 for a superhub and that a new 12 month committment would be enacted. I told him that I had no issue with the new contract but I was not content to pay for installation. I asked for a self-install on superhub but he opined that it was not possible. And he was unable/unwilling to waive the install charge..........grrrrr.Looking on here plenty of people have had manned installs sorted for free.........do I just need to keep calling up until I get an operative who will 'do the right thing' for me or is there some secret code word that I need to drop into the conversation to get them to come out for free with a shiny new superhub?

I spoke to VM the other day and they offered me one of these collection packages.
My current deal is: XL TV M BB (10mb) XL Phone V+HD all for £46.90 inc. line rental. After the recent £3.50 price increase my bill became £50.40. I was offered Tivo & 30mb BB with VM Superhub for the same monthly price but an installation charge of £49.95. I thought this wasn't too bad a deal considering. |

Been looking at the premier collection as it looks very similar to what iv got now. But if my maths is right it looks cheaper than what im paying now.
Current package: 1 x 500Gb Tivo box, 2 X V+ boxes 30MB XL BB Phone line with weekend calls. Paying £76.40 If I want for the premier collection + my extra V+ box worked it out to be. £45 + £13.90 + Extra v+ box £7 I think., So it would come in around £65. Can some one just just double check that my maths is right please? As I dont want to call up & be put on hold for ages only to be told my maths is wrong lol Cheers |

Extra V box is £6.50 not £7 so it would be £65.40

Thanks,
I did think a extra "V+" box would of been more than a normal V box. If not that's better still. So its defo worth calling up then as there is a saving to be had? So would CS be able to change this for me Ben, or would I still have to go via Retentions like the previous poster said |

Only the Tivo boxes have higher Multiroom Fees because you have to pay £5 extra per box a month for all the Tivos that you have so three Tivos will cost you £15 a month then you have to add the two Multiroom Fee at £6.50 each The Sum can be done in two ways Tivo Fee £15 Multiroom Fee £6.50 x2 =£28 or Tivo Fee £5 Tivo Multiroom Fee £11.50 x2 =£28 All the above on top of your Package price I am not sure about any savings Ben or Virgin CS/Retentions will be able to help or indeed the Virgin website |

I called up CS twice & each time the Indian call centre didn't understand what I wanted. So I gave up with that route & called Retentions and explained what I wanted. He took a look and managed to sorted it out for me. Even tho it took 25 mins just for him to do it as the computer didnt like it at first. As it was not as simple as just adding a extra box on to the the premier collection.
But all sorted now, faster internet speed & saving £11 per month you can say im pleased with that lol |

I currently have:
XL BB (30Mb) L TV L Phone Caller ID For £55.25 per month. My box is a standard V box from 2008, not even HD! I wanted multiroom - was quoted £61.75 per month, for only a standard HD box extra. We phoned tonight and from 1st May we will be on the Premier Collection: 500Gb TiVo HD multiroom XL BB XL TV M Phone Caller ID Our new price will be £61.15 per month, we are dropping down a phone package, but going up a TV package, plus the multiroom for 60p a month less than we were quoted for multiroom alone! |

![]() Barry was very helpful and as a result of his sensible approach my monthly bill will reduce to £103.90 and my BB speed will increase to 100MB. Manned installation of Superhub booked for Friday afternoon - no installation/activation charge

I've changed to the premier collection, which means my broadband has gone up to 60mb. Is this it now, or will it go higher when they double the speed? I'm certainly not moaning if I have to stay at 60mb, I'm paying less than I was before I'm just curious really.
