he sounded like james mason. no way would someone with a voice like his do the chart show now.he was the only person who presented the chart show and never did another programme on radio one

He did have a lovely voice, maybe not suited to pop radio but certainly as a voice over artist.
It was strange that he never once presented Top of The Pops |

How strange is this? Being a long-time radio listener I often check out what's going on via DS. Yesterday I was at a neighbour's funeral when a chap stood up and gave a wonderful, short, speech about his cousin. He had a marvelously resonant voice and clearly was used to speaking in public.
Afterwards we asked one of the sons of the deceased who he was. 'Tom Browne' came the answer. 'He used to be a DJ on Radio One'. I can report his voice is still as some of you remember. |

Does anyone have any recorded Tom Browne Top 20 shows from 1972/3/4 or 5...I have qite a few and would be willing to trade.
