As the title states, is there a new one in the works at all?

I enjoyed NFS hot pursuit, but really crave a new burnout game.

There hasn't been a racing game to match paradise city in my opinion..

Criterion are working on the next Hot Pursuit so I think it's unlikely.

Was about to say this, they have been folded into the need for speed rotation of games doesn't make sense to have them making any but need for speed

I think i read rumors that they are working on the next need for speed which will be most wanted 2, likely won't know much till E3 though

Burnout never did sell as well as NFS.

Never really been a massive NFS fan only one I enjoyed was on the 3DO.

Can't see anyone else doing a Burnout other than Criterion, so it's going to be a while before we see another one.

Not to be picky but that link says most wanted 2 which is actually a major surprise which nobody was expecting

I absolutely hated Burnout parasise they really ruined the game by making it open world. Had the made it like revenge it would of been awesome.

i couldn't disagree more! i think making it open world really enchanced the game, the only thing that was a bit annoying was if you lost a race you had to drive all the way back to the beginning, if they added a tart race again option that would have been better

They did, although it was in one of the later patches.

did not realise that! may have to start a completely new game.

I know its a different type of game but started playing NFS shift 2, its ok, but no where near as exciting as burnout

Flipping heck, you are right! I only scan read it because I was 99% sure it was Hot Pursuit 2. A new most wanted in open world style (possibly) .. interesting.

I dont see why these games have to go the GTA way. Revenge was the best ever game they made for Burnout series.
