gosh after today I am convinced I have willpower of steel. SOOOOOOO many differents sets of nails inc for ridiculously discounted prices, sets of colour club halo glitters, essie sets in TK maxx in ealing broadway and I ended up walking away with none...I walked around with a few nails inc sets but put them away
If anyone is near there I'd go check it out today or tom cos they'll probably be gone very soon.

Nipped into Sainsbury's this afternoon, bought two copies of InStyle and got "Bluebell" and "Peach Sorbet". They didn't have the third shade. Both are nice pastel colours. The mag is £3.80.

I'm wearing another from my American swap, China Glaze Riveting. I am IN LOVE with this colour! It's so vibrant!

YAY I have the black multi glitter from Barry M. It's the one I was lusting after the most in the new shades but it was the only one I could not find until today

I also looked at their copies of InStyle to see if they had the one I don't have, and someone had nicked the polish out of the bag! |

Another 5 since my last post think I bought 16 in seven days not been on as been away for a few days and had limited internet access.
Latest purchases were Jack Wills in Aquamarine which is a totally gorgeous shade of bright blue and OPI Nicki Minaj minis set with the four little bottles in Pink Friday Fly Did It On Em Metallic For Life Little bit disappointed in Fly its not as vibrant as I thought it would be. Love Pink Friday and Did It On Em is surprisingly nice I wasn't convinced by the colour in the bottle but nice on the nails and Metallic for Life I love as well. Contemplating buying the neon pink Orly as saw it in Boots and want to try the neons but not at the Nails Inc prices in case I don't like them or they don't really suit. May buy some more Barry M tomorrow saw the Violet on someones nails over the weekend and really liked the colour and they recommended the blue as well but will see what happens as still want some of the OPI Holland collection and almost bought the mini's set of that as well but held off as wanted to get a few other things then didn't make it back to the shop. Currently bare nailed but had Leighton Denny Little Thief and Metallic for Life and Bow Street on over the last few days. |

oh and the inevitable influx of those particular varnishes on ebay. Would they steal from a shop or does it not count because it's the "free" gift?

Not varnish as such but I've just been to the Post Office to collect my Leighton Denny Handbag essentials set.
It's got a small crystal file in a metal case, Best Defence hand cream and Cutilips cuticle and lip balm in it. Currently sat in Starbucks having filed my nails. Cutilipped my cuticles and massaged in the hand cream. My hands smell good enough to eat! |

Nail Envy query. I've been using it for about 3/4 weeks now and have been following the instructions, i.e. applying two coats one day (for me usually on a Sunday), then applying a further one coat every other day for a week. Then removing it and starting again. I've noticed that when I wear the Nail Envy my nails look and feel great, but when I remove it my nails look knackered, really dry and the Nail Envy leaves marks on my nails. Even worse than before! I thought the purpose of Nail Envy was to strengthen and improve my nails, or is that only the case when I'm actually wearing the stuff?! I'm using the Original Nail Envy by the way. Will one of the other Nail Envy's be less harsh?

I bought my first Essies yesterday. Boots in Meadowhall had a huge range - I didn't know what to choose, they all looked really pretty, but also not different enough to existing colours in my collection. In the end I bought Sand Tropez, a nude sandy beige, as I don't have any neutral colours at all, and Jamaica Me Crazy - a bright shimmery fuschia (partly because of the name, I have to admit!) and Matte About You topcoat. I do already have a Rimmel matte topcoat, but I don't like it very much, and I've heard good things about the Essie one. I'm wearing Sand Tropez now - it's a totally new look for me to have natural looking nails in a nude colour! I really like it a lot actually, which has surprised me. |

Funnily enough, I was in Meadowhall on Thursday and I was looking at the Essie polishes in Boots but didn't buy any! I've just put on Barry M's 'Silvery Lilac'. |

Ooh, how's that looking? I wondered about getting it, but I already have Butter London's Knackered, which looks very similar in the bottle, didn't know if I could justify it. |

It's OK, I've put two layers on. I like it but I think it looks better in the bottle than it does on my nails. Just about to upload a pic to Flickr to show you all.

I just posted photos of my sensible subtle Essie colour too. It's a bit sensible for me, but I quite like it - I'm surprised! |
