Interesting looking at the Spurs and Arsenal threads. All the discussion is about 3rd place still.
You know what, I can see us causing a shock on Sunday providing we win. Arsenal against West Brom will not be easy for them. West Brom is usually a difficult place to go and if WB get as many chances as Norwich did with a tighter defence then I see a West Brom win. Whilst Fulham go to Tottenham. Silently creeping up the table, have a massive shot at 7th place. Currently sitting 2nd behind Man City in the form table and the 5th best away record in the form table. Saying all this Everton are very tricky opposition and will want that 7th place. I have a feeling Sunday is going to be quite unbearable

Looking at the team Chelsea have put out tonight we could have 5th secured by 10pm tonight
.I sort of see where they are coming from by fielding a weakened team but they could actually still have finished 4th (they may still finish forth) . All they need to do is beat Liverpool and Blackburn. Hope Tottenham and Newcastle draw then they would finish 4th. Seems like they are relying on winning the CL totally now to qualify |

Liverpool are in dreamland. I'm sure they'll enjoy their night and we'll enjoy our 5th place minimum position
![]() Downing was never going to score that pen.

Just 90mins left of the season - we are guaranteed fifth - but hey let's go for third and embarrass the London obsessed media

The good thing about that result is that we are not worried about being caught now, so as with the rest of the season we are the team with the least pressure on us. Can just see us winning the game on the 89th minute but with Arsenal drawing and spurs winning. THEN SSN's 'We have a goal at White Hart Lane and its heartbreak for Spurs as its Tottenham 2 Fulham 2, but hang its not all over, there has been a massive goal at the Hawthorns 'its unbelievable Jeff, Van Persie has put it into his own net from 30 yards' ' ![]() You never know with this season

I refuse to believe though that Newcastle, Tottenham and Arsenal will all win on Sunday. At least one will slip up I think. Its gonna be one of those days where I have a few matches on (obv the Newcastle one getting most attention ) and Sky Sports News, with a few near heart attacks being a possibility ![]() Really can not wait for it |

Soccer Sunday with Sir Jeff Merson - watching Spurs v Fulham. "Spurs looking like they are gonna hang on here, but Fulham have a corner. Swung in by Dempsey and I don't believe it Jeff, It's Desmond Jeff - it's 2-2. It's the big guy Hangeland" Le Tissier watching West Brom v Arsenal Le Tissier, "Well I can barely stay awake watching this Jeff, West Brom have parked the bus in front of their goal, and Arsenal look like they can't shift it, and West Brom dopn't look interested at all, Oh but no way the ref has goven a penalty to West Brom, not sure what for, but it's going to be Odomwingie. He's scored, and there is the final whistle" Nicholas watching Everton v Newcastle "Cisse is terrifying the Everton back four, and the Toon Army are loving this, Ben Arfa comes forward and crosses, it's there Jeff. It is that man again. It's Cisse and hs hae just handed the Toon Army the bronze medal. I think he has" |
