I am a big fan of Alanis, always have been. Magical Child was released this week and is a great way to help pass the time before the new single in 2 weeks. And then the new album in August. This is the best music news of the year for me.

Amazing

Lead single is "Guardian" which is out on 15th May.

Here's the single cover: https://p.twimg.com/Ar_7f6oCAAAu76t.jpg

And a clip: http://www.amazon.com/Guardian/dp/B0...8-1&tag=pbv-20

I really like the sound of it! It reminds me a bit of 'Underneath' and 'Spineless', and that chrous sounds like it'll quite big!

Hate the cover though.

There is a 90 seconds iTunes clip due very soon.

The single is released in Europe in July, US on May 15th, no idea about the UK.

"Guardian" sounds really good. It's going to be interesting to see how motherhood has influenced her songwriting and music since she's always so personal in both. I always look forward to new Alanis material.

Can't wait, she is so overlooked nowadays, most of her albums are great!

I don't really see that as an issue. She still sells a fair few million of each album, she is huge in Europe and parts of America and she can sell out pretty much any tour. She has a loyal fanbase who buy her CD's and support her and she also has a lot more freedom to pretty much write what she wants without having to please the masses.

Also, while some fans may see it as a shame, she clearly enjoys it a lot more. She nearly had a breakdown after JLP and hated the pressure, the attention, the hysteria and the fans. Now when you meet her after an event she is all relaxed and happy to sign or chat.

I would say she is pretty happy.

Went to the 3 UK shows this week. Excellent week. Shame she only played 4 new songs, but Woman Down is already a favourite.

The album is out there now (officially released on Monday in the UK). I'm not a huge Alanis fan but I really like this. Very mellow and melodic. The one shouty song (Celebrity) is also my least favourite. Love Til You.

Oh in that case, yes.

I am still saving all the bonus tracks until release day though. I want something to look forward to.

Alanis is one of my fave artists but this is underwhelming for me, very safe throughout, so it will probably be a big hit for her! lol Still love her though.

The target bonus tracks leaked as well now. And Tantra (US amazon exclusive).

But most exciting is No. The Japanese bonus. It is outstanding.
