The Exclusives - ITV2
Anyone seen the trailer for this? It looks horrific! Even worse than TOWIE, if that's possible.
I hate how this kind of show has taken over the airwaves, and I hate how people pretending to be even thicker than they are is the trend now. What IS the appeal of these shows? Someone explain it to me because I honestly do not get it. |

I got the impression that it was going to be like The Apprentice, but instead they were competing to be a journalist and get a top job at a magazine/newspaper.

Is there going to be a masterclass in phone hacking?
Surely classes on fantasy would also be beneficial, so they can use their imaginations when it comes to creating articles. |

I keep seeing the trailer for this and it says something to the effect that these people are "celebrities" but where from? I don't watch Towie/Geordie Shore/Made in Chelsea, so I'm guessing they're from these (kind of) shows?

I keep thinking that the advert is for The Only Way Is Essex when it first comes on. Regarding the contestants being people who've "made the headlines", I've looked at the website and they aren't Z-List celebrities or anything. Some of them have written for small publications and websites. That's about it.

I can only hope this is a imitation comedy show, similar to the Bremner-Bird-and Fortune. Otherwise if this is for real I truly weep for humanity and anyone suckered in enough to watch this tripe.

I watched, hoping for another Deadline but I lasted about 15 minutes before realising this was just another in the long line of chav telly that ITV excretes out seemingly effortlessly.

Chris was on my course at university, didnt have this kinda thing down as his bag frankly. Because, watching it you'd have no idea of exactly what training to be a journalist actually involves.
