Any ideas of how to buy a subscription and how much it'll cost? Interested in the Bundesliga and Super League coverage.

€ 11 per month.

http://www.beinsport.fr/

From what I've heard, Bundesliga will only be 17 matches per season (they'll share the rights with Canal+). Although it could also be 17 first picks per season plus a number of 2nd picks. The report wasn't 100% clear about that.

By the way: Is it just me, or does the channel's name sound utterly silly in English? The logo isn't great either. Can't imagine them to enter the British (or German) market with that brand...

Don't know about that. Seems to be a provisional website and a few weeks ago I read that they hadn't reached agreements with various distribution partners yet.

They'll have live coverage of all EURO 2012 matches, 12 of them on an exclusive basis. So I guess the FTA fun won't last long

BeIN Sport has been pretty aggressive in buying up rights. Surprisingly, there won't be any live CL football on free channels in France (except for the final). C+ will have 1st pick and BeIN Sport is going show the other matches.

this channel looks good for rugby league if they do show the games and all of catalans home games.

if they do end up showing the same games as what sky do then i'll be canceling the sports for sure.

Here are some news, in french about a beinsport UK.

To sum up:
They have made bids for english premier league rights.

It's Al Jazeera's attempt to break into the World market. They bid for the EPL tv rights but lost out to Sky and BT. beIN is deliberately meant to sound English, even in non-English-speaking markets.

Just noticed it's on 7.3w Eutelsat 7 West A on 12263H 27500 .. you'd use 13e if it's the same except a lot like to use 7.3w for the JSC Sports HD channels so if you have the right dish it might prove handy.
