Just watched the same scene from the recording of episode 10 of The Bridge that was broadcast on BBC4 last night and it never jumped this time.

Same with me and the jumps in episode 9. Didn't happen on the Monday repeat.

That's because the broadcasts are stat-muxed.
The video stream data is different on each showing depending on the bandwidth requirements of the other channels sharing the mux.
That could explain why the problem is apparent on some regions or countries and not others at the same time (ie. BBC Scotland/England when there are local variations in the schedule).

So you really need at least two people in the same broadcast area (or getting their signal from the same transmitter) to confirm the issue on a particular recording at a particular time?

Or has this already been demonstrated/accepted?

It has happened that I have had a jump on the original showing and the repeat of a programme in roughly the same place (+/- 10 seconds max).

Also noticed that this weeks POV skipped about - and, as Ondine pointed out last week, it did it just as a letter went on screen. Can't be a coincidence.
