I loved this programme from the first episode. Rocco is one of those guys that is ugly-but-attractive, Dawn looks like a distorted Kylie , but has a style I would love o be able to wear if I were younger and slimmer.
The whole adventure of this couple has been a joy to behold. The way they have managed to cling onto a lifestyle that they can afford has amazed me. The house they bought is beautiful and, to me does not need to be changed. I would quite happily stay there and have B&B. They do not need to make it all 'posh'. I once stayed in a lovley little B&B half way up the Troudoss Mountain in Cyprus called after mountain flower in the Alps. hat was just great. The last episode was really sad, as the couple split up and then got back together. Cue two years on and they are still having the same sort of problems. Love the show and love Rocco and Dawn. Much better than the 'Snail couple' and much, much better than the window freak who moved to Greece, sorry I just did not like this man. |

Many of the scenes are obviously set up by the production crew, and they even admit it. I wonder if any of it is real at all?

I've been watching and laughing at the from week to week, but I have a strong feeling that its always been a setup.
One thing I've noticed quite early on in that program is that one of the other apartments they were looking at to buy in Barcelona, was not (and never was) for sale. It is used as a holiday apartment and I've stayed there myself once. Link to the apt here All in all though, the program has been a a good laugh, and every week I normally keep shouting "Dump him" or "Dump her"

I was just having a little reminisce about this programme.
Does anyone else still remember it fondly almost four years on. I wonder what became of these two?
