Wii U Sensor Bar?

I haven't seen any press on the Sensor Bar the Wii U will use.

Just wondering if anyone knows if it will work with the Wii's Sensor Bar? I have a wireless Wii Sensor Bar so I don't have any wires in front of my TV. ideally I'll like to keep using it for Wii U.

Considering WiiU is compatable with Wiimotes then unless they decide at the last minute to stick a camera in the middle of it then i should think it will have the same sensor bar if not slightly redesigned.
I wouldn't worry about it as the sensor bar is after all just a set of infra red LED's.

ISTR reading that the Wii U Pad could be turned around and used as a sensor bar too. Seemed a bit odd to me, so I'm glad the "classic" sensor bar is still present (redlight79's picture shows that it is exactly the same too!)

If you look at the back of the Wii U console, it has the same connector as well, so you can keep your current Wii sensor bar, and use the Wii U one as a spare.

from the looks of that photo you can use the Wii component or scart cable too.

Ive been wondering if I should use the component cable or HDMI since I only have one HDMI socket and would need a switcher/hub or just use the component sockets.

I've got a component cable to allow my Wii to run in 480p, but when the Wii U comes out, I'll use the same component cable I'm using at the moment for the Wii U so it can run in 720p.

I've only got 3 HDMI slots, and its a 720p TV, so if I can save a slot by using a component cable, then I'm happy
