The VOICES in the songs were good, pity about the music. The backing music sounds like some kind of demo version. Argh.

Ive actually heard some all the way through now. The production values on the songs are SOOOO poor! ![]() ![]() ![]() It sounds like a cheap knock off, which is a dis-service to the artists as the vocals all seem fine, no probs there. For those contestants who had released previous music (Bo/Tyler) I'd rather seek out their old material to buy rather than the "fallen off the back of a lorry" production values of the Voice CD!

Becky Hill's "Like a star" is my favourite.

For the future, non UK peeps have been buying UK itunes gift cards online which they register to a UK address. I guess you have to have a friend or relative in the UK who will allow you to use their address to do this though.

Just looking at the iTunes chart. Interesting to see Max ahead of all those who reached the Final other than Tyler. I do think he has wide appeal, versatility and musicianship. Watching his ustreams with Robbie White I was very impressed.

It has been interesting to see how well Free Fallin' has done compared to the others. I've downloaded the full version (4 mins) of Free Fallin' and I love it. I agree he and Robbie are very talented as musicians and songwriters and I'm looking forward to hearing a lot more from Max and his band in the future.

Considering this was a record with no promotion, no airplay, no original music and all covers, I think the ones who got in the top 100 did well to get there and to get in the top 30 or 40 was brilliant.. A lot of people I know didn't even know it was on iTunes. Some of them are working on new material and I think quite a few of them will prove you wrong in writing them off so soon. I think Tyler, Max and Bo in particular have great potential for successful careers as well as several of the others. |
