thats great news, will be interesting to see if its true about no music being changed though, as i doubt it will be the case
it is quite possible to have no changes to the music used, but as i've seen with dozens of tv shows that struggle to get rights for music, they simply use covers done by other, cheaper artists |

I think they'll pass it 15 uncut, especially since they did a similar thing with the recent Alex Mack DVD. |

I'm looking forward to the releases. I bought Season 1 American a long time ago but will probably buy it again, just to play my small part in showing support for them finally being released.
20th Century Fox has licensed out a lot of their shows recently to smaller companies here: Two Guys,a Girl and a Pizza Place; Chicago Hope, L.A. Law, The Practice, Doogie Howser, M.D. There may be others I've forgotten or still in the pipeline. Now, if music issues were holding up Malcolm in the Middle but it's now coming to DVD here, one can only hope there's still a chance for The Wonder Years to finally come to DVD. |

MITM was delayed whilst they checked and sorted out technical issues with the master recordings, maybe their was a similiar issue with Saved By The Bell...

I loved this series!
Is there a new version by the way? I was channel surfing the other day and saw something that looked very similar, 'The Middle?' Similar house, and a boy who looks just like Dewey (and the caretaker from Scrubs is also in it). |

I watched the first two and just didn't find it funny, its still on series record, but I've been deleting it as I watch more important stuff that will empty the PVR quicker (HiDef) |

Whilst delays are frustrating, it'll be worth it if previous experience with Fabulous Films is anything to go by. I've bought a couple of sets that they've distributed in the past - shows that I never thought would see the light of day over here - The Mysterious Cities of Gold, and Star Fleet - the FF treatment on both releases was nothing short of brilliant. Tons of extras, beautifully packaged, and everything you could possibly want. The Star Fleet release was put back a couple of times because they decided to remaster the series, and then again later on because they weren't happy with the restoration and got somebody else to completely redo it.
They tend not to release stuff until they're sure that they've got everything just about as good as they can get it. Their approach, and their attitude should be applauded. If only all distributors went to such lengths..... |

Will the region 2 DVD release contain the PAL 4% speed up?
Apparently it contains the extended pilot which is good. |

Yes, any show produced outside of Europe (exc. France, they use SECAM), Africa, The Middle East, Brazil, Australia, New Zealand and a few others will be played at a different speed when broadcast/displayed on a PAL system.
Malcolm In The Middle is American so will be NTSC and will be sped up by 4% for UK broadcast. Why does it matter, they wouldn't do it unless they absolutely had to? |
