iphone 4 on off button

iphone 4 on off button

hi there, my on off button on my iphone broke. how can i fix this.

iv had the iphone for 1 year and 4 months. so im right in thinking apple wont repair it

They might be able to repair or replace with a refurbished model. No harm in calling into an Apple Store, or give them a call.

I once had coffee spilled on my MacBook when it was long past it's warranty period. It continued to work for a while but then the rot set in and it stopped working. I took it into an Apple store and they replaced the keyboard for £50, it's been working fine ever since.

Apple will replace it with a re-manufactured phone, but it'll cost about £110 to do so.

do you really need the on off button, i never turn off my iPhone. If you ever run out of juice it will turn on as soon as the power cord is plugged in

i always use it to turn off my screen and its becoming a bit of a head ache not having the button.

£110 for a refurb. i dont to spend that much

I believe there are some disability gestures that can do it (not the nicest method though)

Alternatively jailbreak it and instal one of the many many apps that does it with oe click.

just toggle aeroplane mode to search for signal again

just went to the apple store and said they will replacement it as a cost of £119

I think I heard here that it was a known defect so you might get lucky.

Considering most of the other top end phones have double the warranty period, Apple can afford to be generous.
