Our digital tv has built-in freeview,but as we also have Sky we don't use it that much. I noticed the other day though when pressing the DTV button,our freeview has disappeared! Does this simply mean that we need to re-tune? Thanks for any help.

Yes, do a Re-tune and see if that helps, you should get your channels back afterwards

I am a first time poster on this thread and apologies if this has been posted but I am from Northern Ireland and did a rescan yesterday;

302 has appeared and it says it will be in use during the Olympics and at the moment it is just a blank screen

A placeholder for CBBC has also appeared on 73 and the caption says this will be the home of CBBC during the Olympics for Northern Ireland and the North of England.

The fifth HD stream on the BBC B multiplex is up and running but without LCN. It is currently showing a 301 style video caption. The without LCN means that you can't see it without special software.

"BBC Red Button

During the London 2012 Olympic Games
Extra action will be available here in HD"

The caption will be up on my website later this evening.

This needs confirmation but I am satisfied that all 5 HD streams on the BBC B mux are now being broadcast in 1920x1080 resolution in the two different interlace modes 1080i and 1080p.

That will be in preparation for some of the Olympics being shown in 3D. They can't do 3D at 1440x1080 apparently (no information on why).

Rather obvious really - they broadcast 3D side-by-side, so with 1920x1080 you get two 960x1080 images. With 1440x1080 you get 720x1080, which is the same horizontal resolution as SD. Obviously not good enough for BBC's standards (surprisingly).

There is a 5th stream on the HD mux now, but it doesn't appear to have a channel name or LCN yet.

LCN 304 - named as "301 HD"

LCN 304 has just appeared from Winter Hill on the BBC HD mux - named "301 HD". It is showing the same static video frame that was reported previously when the stream was hidden.

Only just noticed that 'Smash Hits!! Radio' is back on in Wales...I know it's been on in England for a long time.

Smash Hits! has been on in Wales since 11/11/2010 when it transferred to Mux D / Arq B.
