it became 'return of the jedi' as lucas said that 'revenge' was not an emotion or motivation that fitted in with the ethos of the jedi philosophy! (does knowing that make me a geek? )
it was also a ploy to fool the merchandise counterfitters, as they printed up t-shirts, toys etc which were incorrect! (yep, i'm certainly a geek!)

Kirk Douglas really is Spartacus. Stephen Hawking wheelchaired back in time and plonked him in the 50's for a bet he had with Bill Gates. The bloke from Apple got wind of it, Hawking found out and now he's just recently resigned. Coincidence??

And you will know My name is the Lord when I lay My vengeance upon thee." However, the parts about the righteous man and the shepherd are not real.
Quentin Tarantino used Ezekiel 25:17 as an obscure reference to the 1976 film Karate Kiba, starring Sonny Chiba. In this film, a nearly identical misquote is said by Chiba.

Yes Spartacus told me, that means so called Micheal Douglas is Spart.Jr. A man out of time he is, all down to those bespectacled tech-whizzes having fun at his expense because they just can.

i remember him saying that , but it doesn't really add up since the Revenge logo became more collectible than the Return logo because of its rarity , there were official lucafilm products with the Revenge logo before the movie opened .

I'm with you - I do remember reading somewhere that the revenge stuff was worth more, but it didn't fit in with what Lucas said (re: counterfeiters) !

Something that I didn't realise until recently is that the Machete character originates from the 'Spy Kids' movies.

The two films couldn't be further apart

In "Star Wars" Peter Cushing's jackboots had no soles. They had to be removed so the boots weren't too tight to wear.

The Spencer Tracy movie "North-West Passage" never gets anywhere near the North-West Passage. It was intended to be the first of a pair of movies and was originally called "Rogers' Rangers". The second movie was never made.

"Wicked, Wicked" is was the first (and mercifully, only) movie to use the "Duovision" process, in which the screen is split vertically in two throughout the film, showing the action from two different angles simultaneously. After 10 minutes you realise why it never caught on.

Although everyone invariably associates the classic 50s 3D movies with red/green glasses, they were actually made using the Polaroid process and were viewed with colourless glasses similar to those in use today.
The later, inferior red/green anaglyph versions were made so that only one projector at a time was needed, allowing 3D movies to be shown more easily in cinemas with less sophisticated set-ups.

Yep. It was badly worded. I meant what you say. It wasn't 'since', but 'because of'.

Apparently... in Who Framed Roger Rabbit, the scene where Bob Hoskins is (not) parachuting with Bugs Bunny and Mickey Mouse is the first time Characters from Disney and WB have appear on screen at the same time. It was in the contract that they have the same number of lines.

In all his cowboy roles, Clint Eastwoods never kills a single Native American Indian.

In all his roles involving heists his characters largest haul was from Kelly's Heroes where Private Kelly's share of the German Gold comes in at around £900,000.

(If I remember correctly Thunderbolt & Lightfoot comes in second with £500,000)

Possibly urban legend but...Under Siege was originally written as Die Hard 3 but it proved too difficult to get McClane on a battleship and so Segal gained his finest film (imo...and not just because of the cake scene).

Meanwhile Die Hard 3 started life as a standalone film called Simon Says which was later rewritten to include McClane.

What goes around comes around

As it happened when Selleck got to Hawaii to film the series there was a strike (by technicians) that lasted for quite some time, he got no filming done and could have done the Indiana Jones film after all.

To compensate, he is listed twice in the closing credits: once before the credits start rolling, and once in the rolling credits in order of appearance. Another advantage from Spacey's point of view, as he saw it, was that he was excluded from the film's marketing during its release, meaning he didn't have to make any public appearances or do any interviews.
Clever old Kevin.

the "ribbit" frog sound universally used in endless outdoor scenes is in fact the pacific tree frog which lives only along the western coast of north america.

Someone has already mentioned that Michael G Wilson appears in Casino Royale being arrested. I am sure he also appears in Quantum Of Solace. When Bond is leaving the hotel and picks up the case, look at the guy sat in the reception area.

Also, Alfred Hitchcock appears (briefly) in all his movies. I have only seen him in 2 so far.

When people used to mimmick Rambo, they always seemed to use the line "Don't push me!" Rambo doesn't say that in any of the Rambo films.

Also, apparently (haven't watched it in years so can't be 100%) in Blade Runner there is a scene where you can see the Millenium Falcon in amongst some buildings

Will Smith turned down the role of Neo in The Matrix to film Wild Wild West. He regrets it to this day.
