UPDATE:

Received a call from Pioneer this morning informing me that the upgrade work had now been done and the box would be sent back to me on receipt of £20.40 payment (inc postage).

I enquired how best to make payment and was told that a cheque would be simplest. Sent off a personal check this afternoon by 1st Class posr.
