I don't see how illogical I am when I say one is cheaper than the other one....

About the number of servers, from what I've read and some discussions with a person at Unblock, they have more than 2 servers, but how many exactly? I don't know. Since february 2011 I never had any issues with their service, so I would say that the number of servers isn't the most important thing apparently. The latency also depends on which ISP you have. So honestly, telling me service A has 6 servers and B has 2, won't make me think one is better than the other.

To conclude this endless discussion, I would reformulate by saying: EXCEPT for HBO Go, Unotelly costs more than Unblock-Us for the same service.

And I'm sorry, but the one who's illogical is you (or my english isn't good enough to make you understand what I wanna say, if yes, I'm sorry about that). I'm not saying one service is better than the other, I'm just saying one costs more than the other for the same service or less (except HBO Go)... what is illogical with that ?

Anyway, have a good night
I just love forum debate so I apologize for any offence intended to you Eban.

What I'm trying to say is that you usually get for what you say for. Why does BMW 328 costs more than a Ford Fiesta? I guess we all know the answer.

I still think you need to try both service before you can say which one is better or worse which is what I have done. I've tried both. Done the latency speed test on both because I've used them:

Don't worry, you didn't offend me
I love debate too so it's all good!

I completely agree with you on that "you usually get for what you say for. Why does BMW 328 costs more than a Ford Fiesta?", so on this part, I would answer and say that for me, except for HBO Go (that I don't use), Unotelly costs more for the same services I use with Unblock. I'm only talking about me and my needs, I would say "you" are in a very small number of people who have access to HBO Go outside the US. Just like I was when I had live american tv in france last year...

Here is the ping for Unblock-Us:

Code:

And the ping for Unotelly:

Code:
Ping a démarré…

PING 176.58.107.53 (176.58.107.53): 56 data bytes
64 bytes from 176.58.107.53: icmp_seq=0 ttl=53 time=50.491 ms

10 packets transmitted, 10 packets received, 0.0% packet loss
round-trip min/avg/max/stddev = 50.491/62.593/69.288/4.973 ms
Average for Unblock: 58.858
Average for Unotelly: 62.593

At this point they are both the same to me, I don't think I would see the difference using Unotelly.

I'm not in London nor UK, I'm living in the center of France and I have a DSL internet connection (22 Mb).

If the price difference was only for HBO Go I would say anything, but according to Unotelly you have to pay $7.95 to have access to ABC, AMC, FX, SyFy, CW etc...all those websites are included in the $4.99 of Unblock-Us.

I also don't see HBO Go listed on their website, have you tried to get access to it with Unblock ? Maybe it works. I access many websites that use geo-location that they are not listed on Unblock's site but work perfectly.

Overplay would be more interesting for me since it would give me access to all different Netflix websites, but I don't even have time to watch all the movies I want on my Sky subscription lol so...

If you don't mind and if you have time, I would be happy to get a PM from you to know how you got access to HBO Go.

Netflix have justed signed a deal with telefilms in netflix Latamerica for films such as hunger games, the artist and shame, but whats good about the deal is movies are coming as soon as 4 months of cinema release, the artist will come june 5 and hunger games in august 18 which is the same as dvd release in US of august 18, meaning on demand hunger games the same day as DVD. that pretty cool, and would cost 5 or 6 bucks on itunes.

This is another reason to us Overplay smartDNS so you can access netflix LATamerica, Both the artist and the hunger games are coming to netflix usa but much later, hunger games wont be netflix usa for around another 6 months after august 18th.

Hunger Games is supposed to be available on Netflix US this autumn (see different articles on internet) so not a long time after LatAM

Ok so I've bit the bullet and signed up, but so far I'm not too impressed.
Using Wii and so far I'm only able to log into UK, US and Brazil Netflix.
Also it takes ages to download all the categories.
Can you actually login to Canada, Latin America Netflix using a console?

Ok so this has peed me off now. Can access all but Canadian Netflix which is the only reason I signed up to overplay.
Their site is useless for information as it should tell you what you can and cant connect to with games consoles.
I've raised a ticket so hopefully they will give me a refund.
I knew I should of just stuck with Unblock-US instead of being tempted by Captain America & X-Men First Class.

I get access to all available apart from Canada. I just get the cannot connect to Netflix screen.
It loads up fine on iPhone, but that's not suitable at all.
I've just tested loading US Netflix on Wii using Overplay and Unblocks DNS and Unblocks loads alot faster, Overplay I'm left with images and info of titles missing. Even loading the UK Netflix via overplay is slow.

So how do you change to CA Netflix?
I've just looked on the site and can see no mention.

You have to go on the "How to set up" page. But they are rolling out the new feature at the moment so it's not available to everybody yet, but it will be in the next hours

Even more so when they don't offer a trial period.
I'm gonna see how unblock-us do with their region select and if alls ok I may cancel overplay as unblock-us works out cheaper as you don't get lumbered with the US tax.

I definitely didn't get charged any US tax. Maybe have a word about the deal, they might offer it to you retrospectively?

You can't be charged with US tax if you're not in the US.
US tax depends on which state you live in.

But I definitely recommend Unblock-Us. I subscribed in february 2011, since then I'm a happy customer. They have great communication on Twitter and the new feature should be just awesome (they're still rolling out the thing, should be available for everybody by the end of the week).

On another note, it does seem that Netflix has some much better content in Latin America; I wonder why that is? Historically I'd expect most people to have thought that the most complete collection would normally have been in the US.

Honestly, the only advice I can give you is: switch to unblock-us I got the new feature yesterday, it works just perfectly !

No Latin America yet, but the Canadian catalog has some awesome movies and the movies selection looks much better than the US catalog. I think I will probably cancel my Sky Movies subscription since every movies that Sky aired recently are on Netflix CA (movies I watched). I'll see in the next few weeks.

UnoTelly will also be offering a similar service soon. I have been using them for a few months and service is excellent, simple to use and they respond to questions, queries very fast.

Already got Unblock-Us, ive had it since shortly after Netflix launched. I just gave Overplay a go for a month just to see what their region select was like.
At the moment I'm having a bit of a dissagreement with unblock as my Wii will not connect to the UK through their DNS.
I basically got told that Wii is not compatible to access other countries which is a load of old poop as it works fine when using Overplays DNS and afterall UK is the home region.
It's not a major biggie as I can easily change it through the Wii internet settings, but would be nice if they could get it sorted out.

Personally, I changed the DNS on my router and it works fine on my devices but I don't have a Wii so I can't give a shot :/
Have you already tried the new feature ?
