Help, trying to remember the name of a childrens tv series

The show was set on the canal, I think it was called "insert boys name here" and co. The boy had blonde hair and glasses I think. It was on in the 90's and I'm pretty sure it was on the BBC but I might be wrong on this. It was live action and the storylines focused on the title character, his friends and a rival sort of gang.

I think the programme your thinking off was called 'Kevin & Co'.
