Same thing.........if you have been bitten by a rabid animal, you are given the same course of injections as someone who has been given the vaccination because their occupation puts them at risk.

Human rabies-specific immunoglobulin (HRIG)
HRIG (passive immunisation) is used after exposure to rabies, for rapid protection until the rabies vaccine (active immunisation) becomes effective.
It is given at the same time but at a separate site as part of post-exposure prophylaxis.
The dose is HRIG 20 IU/kg body weight. It is administered around the cleansed wound or intramuscularly (anterolateral thigh) if the wound has healed or is not visible.
It can be given for up to seven days after starting the vaccination course (active immunisation).

Still don't see where he gets all those injection sites from

One for the vaccine

One for the HRIG

Well I think she had them in her arm but I wouldn't bet my life on it. And it was definitely post-bite rather than preventative.

Combine the two and we can have Rabid Grannies. But I'm pretty sure that's been done before too...

That happened to me. I was worried about turning into a werewolf too, but I think I'm safe noooooowwwwwwwwllllllll!

So did you get bitten now or a few months ago, OP?

(Or never, but I'll play along. I'm in on a Saturday night)

Unofficial poll time....

Vote 1 - the U.S.-based story is shite;

Vote 2 - the UK-based version is dog vomit;

Vote 3 - BOTH are bullshit.

I think, and probably everyone else reading this thread, you're talking complete crap. By all means set me straight but not until you've responded to stargazer61's post.

Have you been subject to a time slip or perhaps abump on the head resulting in 5 months of amnesia?

The delusional OP may indeed have rabies if some of the other symptoms are present. the injections may not have worked.

"The initial symptoms of rabies last for two to 10 days, before more severe symptoms start to develop. There are two types of advanced rabies symptoms. They are known as:

furious rabies, which account for 4 out of 5 cases
dumb rabies, which accounts for the remaining cases

Furious rabies

Furious rabies is characterised by episodes of increasingly bizarre and hyperactive behaviour, separated by periods of relative calm. During these episodes, a person may have some, or all, of the following signs and symptoms:

aggressive behaviour, such as thrashing out or biting
agitation
hallucinations – seeing or hearing things that are not real
delusions – believing things that are obviously untrue
excessive production of saliva
high temperature (fever)
excessive sweating
the hair on their skin stands up
a sustained erection (in men)"

It's obvious. He had the injections back then but the side effect is that he lives in a world of repetition. Like groundhog day but with a big medical negligence payout.

Wow, this story is really freaky. My German Shepherd came home earlier and started spouting some nonsense about the world being run by lizard people. I reckon he must have bitten the OP and contracted a serious case of the Crazies. I might have to have him put down, now.
