You gotta admire Westwood , the bloke just keeps going in these Majors , he just holed a 40 footer on the last for a cracking 67 and a +2 total , i was wincing at a couple of up and downs he messed up but that last putt makes up for it.

Woods + 3 for the round atm , its all bunched right up still , hopefully we have 7 or 8 in the mix come the back 9 tommorow.

He just missed a tiddler to go to +4 for the round , Anyone taking those odds after 36 holes deserve to lose their money.

I think Woods should only be that short when he's finally won a major again to prove to us he is capable. His last major was 4 years ago so I don't think he should be that short just because he has 14 grand slams.

Dufner now at +2. He's been quietly creeping up the leaderboard.

Mcdowell and Furyk both looked extremly solid today and will be hard to beat i feel.

The leaderboard is a real mix which is good to see , basically everywhere is covered , the US , Britain , Europe and a couple of South Africans , would be pretty special if Els or Goosen pulled it off.

Without wanting to sound like a stuck record on these threads i just hope its Westwoods time hes improved with each round , if that carries on he will win its about bloomin time he got over the line in one of these , i bet he falls just short again though

Ye he used to be that sort of price at the start of these tourneys in his hey-day , was he ever odds on ? , think hes proved hes still got what it takes but he will never be that ruthless machine of old , the bookies got a bit carried away there.

Why are they teeing off so late?

I would love Westwood to win, That put on the 18th must have given him a huge confidence boost going into today.

The leaderboard is so tight at the top, I can see an 18 hole playoff tomorrow.

McDowell doesn't seem to be in the game at all.

Really hoping he can pull himself together...would love another northern Ireland man to win it.

Hopefully Mcdowell does do it now , Furyk looks like a guaranteed bogey here so theres going to be 6/7 players with a shot of each other.

Harrington blew it on the 18th then , just needed a par for the joint clubhouse and plugged his 2nd in the bunker , terrible shot leaving him no real chance of that par.

Webb Simpson looking very dangerous.

Wow Furyk just holed it to save the par , ominous.

Edit - Now Mcdowell nails a great putt to go 1 behind.

And then they both mess up tee shots on next hole.

McDowell to +2 on this hole

That's what I hoped but knew his luck wasn't in when he stuck his ball up a tree and he hasn't managed another putt since that long one last round.

Anyone hear the idiot earlier shouting 'MASH POTATOOOOOOOO' at the top of his voice after Furyk was teeing off earlier , done it at least twice , i hope he got dragged off somewhere and smacked in the mouth a few times ,

Now we have someone giving it the 'YABBA DABBA DOOOOO' lol , what makes anyone want to shout this crap ?

Same old story with Westwood , nothing ever drops in the final round for him and he never gets a break.

So frustrating but you sort of expect it now.

The bloke who shouts "Mashed potatoes" crops up at almost every event on the PGA Tour. Absolute idiot.

Simpson almost has the wrapped up now.
