I dislike Caroline because I think she's a wanabe.

However I don't mind if she's up for eviction or not, or if she stays or goes.

I think she's funny. The reason her VT didn't say 'I'm as mad as a box of frogs' is because she actually is. Even her bitching is funny. Not as funny as her hair, but it's funny.

I would love to see her up for eviction but I don't see it happening, a lot of the housemates seem to like her and find her funny and to a degree I can see why she's liked because bar the nastiness she is a bit of a character. Her voice really grates on me though.

I like her, and find her very entertaining to watch, she reminds me of a young Carol Thatcher, who despite my strong feelings about her mother, I had quite a soft spot for when she was in the jungle.

I started off disliking her but she's been growing on me recently. Particularly with the way she's been trying to cheer up my favourite Lauren. However, if it turns out she's not being genuine there, I'll be back to disliking her again

The interesting thing (in my opinion) about Celebs In The Jungle is how well they do compared to the audience's expectations.
I was dreading Carol Thatcher, but she was a good egg, and mucked in, and rose a million points in my estimation. Nigel Benn, on the other hand, I assumed would be a Man, but was a whingey whiney twa*.

Still, as my dear old Mum used to say ... it takes all sorts :-)
I do realise that this is off-topic, so i'll shut up now.

Obviously, we can only go off the editing, but it seems she doesn't get involved in all the nonsense of "fitting in" with the groups, and on occassion has even laughed it off with Scott about how some housemates don't 'get' her - most (Lydia, Deana, Victoria) storm in the diary room complaining.

She may have done that too at some point, but we haven't been shown it so again, can only base my opinion on what they show us.

Yes, she bitches now and again but who doesn't? Personally, I don't care if she bitches, just like I don't care if housemates bitch about her or another housemate. It's bound to happen and it's nothing I hold against any housemate.

She's a very watchable housemate, and she's certainly highered my interest in BB this year.
See - here's the thing; I don't think I've missed a single episode, and I've never seen Caroline laughing at herself - always at the expense of others. And it's a bit mean to use the stupid ones to get laughs, IMO.

I love her not wearing make-up.
I love her letting whatsit dye her hair, even though she obviously wasn't keen, but had the good manners to let someone do their job, and thus put them at their ease, regardless of her own feelings.
I love the fact that she so obviously doesn't care what we think.
I love that "midnight feast in the dorm" wild-exaggeration comic-effect persona she adopts.

Yes, I am aware that each and every point I made above could quite easily be made against her, by reasonable people who happen to disagree with me. That doesn't make them 'haters' and it doesn't make them wrong .... it just makes them different from me.
Lovely post, particularly the last paragraph.

I'm so on the fence with Caroline I've got splinters in my arse. I really want to like her, but the whole Ashleigh/Lauren stirring, Scott bitching, eviction gloating thing is making it extremely difficult.

She's growing on me....a bit like Ben did, wasn't keen to begin with but her humour is starting to show. Didn't like how she went on when Chris was evicted (even though I wanted him out) but can understand that he annoyed her....and she had to live with him 24/7, so I guess she can be excused somewhat for that.

It may well be that you would not be to her liking either ...

She is quite 'choosy' ... and that is no bad thing ...

I wouldn't even acknowledge her if I saw on Marylebone High Street which I frequent on a regular basis

Let me repeat ... I am not yet a fan of hers ... and might never be ... definitely on the fence at the moment ... not particularly drawn to her ...

But why such vehemence ... ?

Why would anyone even consider acknowledging her on Marylebone High Street if they didn't actually know her ... ?

Surely to do so would be madness ... ?

Weird ... or what ... ?

She seems very popular inside and outside of the house, so I doubt she will be even nominated let alone evicted for many weeks to come. I even think she will make the top 5, if not top 3.

OP prepare yourself to be posting mean threads about her for a long, long time.
Let's hope so - forget top 3, let's get her to #1

Off the top of my head:
Go and re-watch the nominations episode - that episode featured quite a few scenes of herself, Scott & Becky all having 'banter' with one another and she takes the piss out of herself quite a few times.

Didn't like the way she said "why are people PRETENDING to be upset?" after Chris went. Just because she didn't like him doesn't mean the others felt the same way and it was obvious Shievonne, Lauren, Lydia, Deana, Benedict etc were genuinely fond of the tubby lad.

OK, will do. As I said - arse splintered from my Caroline fence. Her nominations on Monday will seal the deal.

Personally I cant stand the little snob. Every time someone leaves, first Victoria, then Chris, she can't stop crowing about it, and telling everyone how happy she is. For someone who keeps banging on about manners she seems to have left hers at home.
As for that birds nest she calls her "lovely hair," its time it was introduced to a comb.

I have to admit I am getting alarmed at the amount of forum members who seem to think anything she does, ie., clean her teeth, or tell a fib, is either hilarious or wonderful.

Please dont tell me this ninny is going to last much longer?
Completely agree!

I liked that comment, she lives with them all 24/7 and maybe just happens to know that they are pretending, though she was a bit ott with her celebrations I always find it a bit fake when people pretend to be upset at a competitor leaving, its not like anyone has actually formed any special bonds yet except I think for Scott and Caroline.

I wouldn't be shedding any tears for her if she was.

If she went I'd be quite happy with that.
