Oh no. Does this mean we can't refer to him as DOTY anymore?

I suggest we continue to use it but adapt it to indicate his true status, as follows:

Gary = DOTY
Pete = DTY.

I'm so so so happy Gary won it... Now we won't get a 20page spread in OK with posed pics of the kids and a story about how much the kids mean to him

Though we may get PA doing a 20 page spread saying how pleased he is for Gary - with obligatory photos of the kids because he loves them dontcha know?

His kids were featured in the Take That documentary they did a while ago, but it was fairly low key and only a small part of it. There was a sweet bit of him playing the piano with his daughter.

I don't think it's essential that celebs hide their kids away, and any proud parent will be keen to show them off from time to time, but it should never be the thing they are most famous for.

I do wonder if some of those who last year thought DOTY was the best, most meaningful award in the whole world ever will now be declaring how pointless it is?
