Indeed. I shouldn't happen but I'm surprised that anyone is shocked by this. It's one of those unofficial "perks of the job" that always happens. If committee members get more free tickets than they could ever use then it's fairly inevitable that some are going to be sold on the black market.

Shocking but expected the IOC seem to be up there with FIFA.

There will be a few token sanctions against those involved but it will happen again in Rio. They're basically unaccountable to no one but themselves.

The real shame is whilst the UK isn't directly involved these could be tickets have come back here to be resold.

The thing is sponsors and companies are given more tickets than they could possibly ever use.

If it was me, I'd give 10% to sponsors, and 90% to fans.

Its a little bit unfair I think to say that sponsors should get no tickets whatsoever. There will be geniune sports fans who work for those companies who will enjoy getting tickets. The company I work for have 100 pairs of tickets.
