Calendar/reminder software
I recently had a fatal crash and had a new hard disk installed, with an updated XP os. I re-installed most of my software, including CreataCard Gold, but it won't work on this new system.
Can anyone recommend a similar software I can download, for remembering birthdays, entering appointments, etc. Thanks a lot for any advice. |

I use Google Calendar and also can access it in Thunderbird with the Lightning add-on.
You can get email and/or SMS alerts you can also access your reminders/appointments etc... from any PC

Just downloaded it, it's great, exactly what I wanted. Only one query, there is no Help button and I want to know how to just start typing stuff without making them events or tasks. What I mean is there's no cursor so that you can just put remarks.

ok, will do. Rather a shame, though, I quite liked the Sunbird one. Although on comparing the two, the Google one has more options, so I'm pleased with it.
Thanks for all your help x |

But you can get the Google calendar in Lightning you just need https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/thu...ogle-calendar/ to allow access to the calendars you have set up on Google then they get sync'ed.

You're blinding me with science now
![]() I have solved the problem like this. I opened a MSWorks database, inserted just two columns, the day's date, and my text. I then created another database which I called Birthdays and Anniversaries, and entered a few customized columns. I'm more than happy now. But thanks so much for your advice. |
