Do you remember Storm?

He seems to have got over Simon Cowell's sneers and back on his feet as he is singing in the new film "Rock of Ages"
from 18/06/2012 Edinburgh Evening News.
excerpt:----------------------------

"In the ultimate career U-turn, the reality show reject was called up to record alongside Tom Cruise in his new musical movie, Rock of Ages.

Storm, 39, real name Lee Gardner, recorded three songs with the star at a Hollywood recording studio. And while his vocal performance got a thumbs down from the British public during the X Factor live finals, movie producers liked him so much he ended up performing on 16 of the movie’s 19 tracks......................"

Not sure if the link will work properly but the rest of the article is at..........................

I'm really pleased for him

He has a good voice, but on XF had two things against him:

1 Simon (obviously didn't like him)

2 Ridiculous makeover (dying his hair bright red)

.

Actually he has been constantly working since X Factor and was working on Glee as a backing singer. I guess at his age he couldn't have asked for anything more

3 He was in Louis's category

I thought he was a bit annoying on the show, but good on him for getting a break.

He made a couple of disparaging comments about Matt getting dropped on Twitter recently. Not that they seemed to get on very well on the show, but I thought that was a bit unclassy. Still, fair play to him, I guess, although I think he and the Scottish media are overtalking what he does somewhat - pretty sure he's more of a session singer than a 'performance' vocalist on ROA and Glee.
