So glad it's a free roam game. They were the best Spider-Man games ever!

I feel the odds are that this is either going to be delayed or it's not living up to expectations... Preview vid I saw last week looked buggy and it was supposed to be showing final gameplay...

After playing Batman:AC i fear that modern 'roaming' is just an illusion. You could roam in GTA, AC had a certain level of control which does not make it free roam.

It's not supposed to be walled like AC, though. It's meant to be free roaming sandbox a la Spiderman 2 and, shudder, Spiderman 3...

Had this since thursday for the 360 completed the main story (which is okay) 200 comic pages collected & about 70% of side mission's done.

Overall it's short but good if you like prototype 2 & batman aa or ac you will have a good time.

Just don't get hyped for something up to spidey 2's standard.

Either he's on a PR list and got a review copy OR it's pirated, lol

... and this is possibly why there's apparently been a lack of review discs doing the rounds:

Some reviews have been more positive.

Will be picking this up when it's released on PC in august.

Edit this has be the stupidest reason to rate down a game

THE BAD: Way too many collectibles and side missions clutter up the main experience.

Unfortunately I don't really rate what G4, Planet Xbox, COG or even EGM would have to say about anything, lol!

IGN gave it a 7, I think, and EG are, from what I heard last week, still waiting on a review copy...

I'm not fussed about average ratings, though. I'll probably enjoy it more being a fan of the comics, hopefully.

We're still waiting on our review copy - it's apparently arriving next week, so don't expect a DS review for a short while.

From what I hear (got a couple of friends who are game journos) you're not the only one... Wee bit worrying considering it's already gone retail!

Picked this up yesterday.

It's... just OK. Swinging around NYC is indeed fun but the storyline has left me underwhelmed (and spoils the movie.. but I knew that anyway). A lot of action takes place indoors (so far at least) which seems a waste of the expansive city they have created.

I will persevere and maybe get into it a little more.

I slapped in Spiderman 2 recently and realised I was only part way through and had forgotten how fun it was!
