I like it....it seems a bit more willing to be more edgy than many other sitcoms, and the delivery of said edginess is spot on....its got the edge over Don't trust the......(not bad so far but waiting to see how it goes) and New Girl (in fairness I really liked, but missed a few eps without realising which spoke volumes)

As much as the general premise is implausible, Max and Caroline have got good chemistry!

They have got create chemistry but they do seem to force the jokes too often. New Girl is back soon on E4.

I prefer Caroline when she's strong. Max is essentially a loser. She lets people take advantage of her (eg, her ex-boyfriend, her baby-sitter employer), and lacks ambition. She needs Caroline at least as much as Caroline needs her. Caroline is having a rough patch but in two years time she'll have made something of herself whoever she ends up with.

For me Caroline is by far the more interesting character, but the important thing is that the relationship works.

I have enjoyed 2 Broke Girls so far. Seems like standard sitcom fodder with people from different backgrounds pushed together ( and a horse ) but its working pretty well. Some of the jokes do seem as though they are there for the sake of being there but there are some genuine laughs, Taser on the train.

Each episode seems really short though. Sit down to watch and 20 mins later your done.

It's 23 actually and that's the standard length for a US 30 minute show

If we're being picky it's actually 22 mins at NTSC, but the episodes are sped up for PAL broadcast/playback and so are 20-21 in the UK....

I like the characters/actors particularly Kat Dennings but the script is clunky at times. Too many times.

I also like the horse.

I agree. Max is essentially a "loser". The problem is, I can see that she has the potential to stand up for herself and actually fight for her dreams, and I think Caroline will help her in that respect. Meanwhile, Caroline is, IMO, strong on the outside but is actually quite fragile, and Max would probably step up and help her friend out if she ever crashes.

This is a sidenote, but I have noticed that while catching up Gilmore girls online, streaming, not downloading, that the audio, very especially the opening theme song (which I know very well from the E4 days!) defo sounds slower. Is this NTSC issue the same for alot of american imports?

She is a bit of loser, but a very likeable one, as from we have heard from her childhood, she wasnt born in the best situation, so I do think that Caroline will bring some ambition out of her, and Caroline has been this billionaire heiress, and has challenges to overcome, which she has dealt with really well so far. But I do think there will be plenty more for her to deal with, and hope that her character will be more fleshed out, so Max can deal with that, and it be more of a two way street.

Thought it was an average episode this week and not as funny as it's been before. Wasn't at all keen on the hoarding storyline, i think that's where it fell flat for me personally.

Did love the line - 'If it's after 2.30, the call is for the dirty!' Genius!

Lol

I love the fact that this show is much more daring than some of the others - it isn't afraid to cross certain boundaries and contains lines which may make certain people cringe.

The chemistry between the girls is excellent. The show is definitely improving all the time.

I love this show. The 2 main actresses actually have a lot of chemistry that makes it all the more watchable.

I loved the "guess who just walked in.... Fat gary from teen mom?" Section! I love in when a show i like it referenced in another show.

The rest of it had its good points but overall i preferred the hoarding story from last week, especially max's reaction to it all!

Another good episode with the cupcake business at Johnny's art show, although i'm starting to worry that they're now focusing the show on Max's on/off relationship with Jonny rather than the cupcake business and the r'ship between Max and Caroline which is the highlight of the show. I love these 2 girls but i get the feeling they're going to shoehorn in Johnny in every episode with this love triangle which is franky boring and is taking up too much time. More Wan and Oleg and less Johnny please!

Quoted for truth! I prefer the five main characters: Max, Caroline, Oleg, Han and Earl! Johnny is nice, but he should just be a friend. Any love interests, should IMO be one night stands only! I don't want them to ruin the show with relationships!

My favourite episode has been by far the one where they go to the charity shop!

"Those are not extensions, BITCH!" has to be the best quote so far!

'Listen Bipolar Express!'

Another good episode last night and back to focusing on the friendship and working relationship between Max and Caroline which is what makes this show so great.
