I liked the picture of him with Gill where he's holding the gingham monstrosity, the look on his face was along the lines of "damm, I didn't realise they were being serious about this new kit"

He tweets when he's watching Utd like me and you would sat in the pub after a few beers. He doesn't mince his words and is as passionate as us. He posts a lot of photos when he's out and about with ex players like Pally which I like.

He's already been quoted as saying he expects them to be pushing for promotion. A legend in his own mind that lad, I've never got over the comedic ineptitude of his performance in that game away at Blackburn at the end of the 10/11 season.

He seemed to think if he moaned more at OT then Fergie would see the light and play him. He's never been any good. If he was in the team rather than VDS it was a worry.

PIG and Poyet are made for each other really.
I have never gotten over Poyet supporting Suarez, so I hope Brighton don't do anything of note while he is there.

To this day I haven't seen more than the goals in the Blackburn game because it was a 4:45 AM kickoff with no online replay.

How bad was PIG that day for us to almost have the title decided on the final day?

Glad to have you all back, in the future i would just report any WUM's or trolls rather than take the bait, hopefully the mods are more likely to ban them than you in the future if you do this.

I'm home...... Nice to see the front door open again!!

Thorpe, M Keane and Sam Johnstone have all been selected for the U19's European Championships next month for England. Pogba (he's still technically a United player) is captain for the French team.

Interesting to see West Ham sign Diame from Wigan, I wonder what that does for Morrison's progress down there....

Does anyone have any vague recollection of when the revised fixtures come out - I mean the ones being televised and bumped from 3pm Saturday?

It's going to be closer to the season I suspect. I'll predict United will kick off on Sat. 12.45... As it's Everton away, it makes sense for the police and tv to change that one.

Thats what I thought as well. Its the Liverpool game on 22nd September causing me problems. I'm holding out on making plans for that weekend until I get a new time. You never can tell with that fixture - I can't guess if its gonna be the Sunday 4pm biggie or a lunchtime. Actually maybe checking the other fixtures for that day might give me an inkling.

Two points that I would like to make, the first being, all of this supporting England malarky is all very well and good, but is there anyone else getting withdrawl symptoms from wanting to watch us play?

The second point is, will "The Streak" continue, or will this be one too many?
By this I mean, will Giggs score at least a single goal in the upcoming league campaign, to maintain his scoring in every single Premier League season?
I hope so, as it is a nice record to have, but I am begining to have my doubts though, if he does do it, I suspect it will be in a home game, rather than an away one.

I can't recall the last time United played the 18 timers late in the afternoon. It's always early doors on Police advice. I suspect it's going to be another 12.45 or a 1.30 on the Sunday game. The clubs don't mind this to a point due in part to the geographical locations, they can stay in the regular hotels and just bus in on the day.

Some interesting threads going on at the moment, I'd suggest rather than going in shooting our mouths off, just observe and leave them to it. Let some of the crazier ones drop, they'll soon be visiting the City thread.

I agree - I think I'm going to pop a couple on my 'ignore' list and not even acknowledge their existence in threads. People seem to think this is a closed thread where we don't play with anyone else so fine by me - I'm happy to stick here.

Re Liverpool you're probably right - I might have to bite the bullet and book my Eurostar back at teatime & watch the game there.

Lord I'm a right nervous nelly when it comes to football and travel arrangements!!! I've buggered up so many times when fixtures have been changed and we've been on flights or trains with no internet.

Considering how much he put into the bids to get Manchester the Olympic's, then the Commonwealth Games, also the bids for the World Cup and Euro 96, let alone all the work to obtain these games, I really can't think of anyone better to carry the flame there.

The transfer rumours have been a little quiet over the last couple of days, maybe the mods closed them down as well
