I fail to see anything remotely exciting and certainly not skilled, about 22 overpaid babies kicking a bag of wind around for 90 minutes.
Yes. I knew it would happen. The predictable response and any variation of the above...

It's like Godwins Law for football threads. Except without the Nazis.

I win £5.

I HATE football but I do feel for those who love it and have to wait four years for tournaments such as the World Cup or the Euros to be played. I see much moaning about the soaps being messed around with but, to be fair, it's only for a few weeks every couple of years. Not even so bad now that we all have multiple channels to choose from for alternative entertainment since digital was forced upon is.

I still cannot understand, however, why football isn't shown on the sport channels only, but that's another story altogether. IMHO it's selfish for us haters to deny the fans their fix when these competitions are only held every four years.

I dislike how in this country it's seen as 'THE' sport of choice and everyone's favourite. I tend to think it's so popular as it doesn't take much to grasp what's going on. I don't understand how fans don't get bored themselves with the never ending amount of matches.
Interesting point coming from an ex-enthusiast.

BIB I can relate to from men I used to work with who all used to attend football matches but had long stopped going due to ticket prices, foul language and fighting......and these were men who, working in a Foundry, were accustomed to bad language, but they wouldn't take their Grandchildren to a match.

I don't mind it. I don't watch it all the time but I'll watch it if there's nothing else on, if I'm in a pub and it's on or if it's a big event like the World Cup or Euros.

Love it

And I hate people who jump and the bandwagon during the major tournaments...

I did not enjoy the ROI matches - it was a painful experience... not a single good player

Enjoyed the England games though

Since it's so easy, why don't you go become one of those overpaid people, I mean, why would you turn down such easy money?
