BB has survived the test of time due to die hard BB fans spanning many years. Most are used to the 24hr live feed and enjoyed the having the choice to watch when they wanted and to get a better insight into the housemates.

Many rely on Live Feed to decide upon who to vote to evict. Without Live Feed many don't bother voting as they don't feel they know the housemates well enough.

Channel 5 could if they so choose listen to the viewers re Live Feed as the subject is going nowhere. It would appear from recent threads that many (up to 50%) would be prepared to pay for either pay per view, internet feed or both.

Live Feed generates much more media interest and therefore higher audiences.

I know of an elderly lady living in a care home. Her legs may not work as well as they used to but her brain is as active as ever. She is a die hard BB fan and looks forward every year to the times she can stay up all night watching housemates, she is an insomniac. She looks forward to it and without it she feels she is being short changed. BB audiences span many generations.

Live Feed would be self financing if only Channel 5 chose to listen to the viewers and it would reassure the audience that Channel 5 is taking BB forward and not back.

Just offer the audience a choice PLEASE.....don't say you are listening to us when you clearly aren't! It is insulting.

Bring back some form of interactive button - and don't worry about the birdsong or the aeroplane noise....Its part of LF!

Thank you
well said debi oathy has printed this and will send it on thanks

So noms talk has been banned now because of the result of a poll on the official website. How many people voted on this poll I wonder? It can't be all that different from the amount of people that would vote on a poll here. Yet all the live feed polls get explained away as obviously just being made up of hardcore fans votes and not being worth listening to.

They can all very well change a decision right on the spot, which IMO was actually helping the series, especially with the seemingly upcoming battle of two alliances which would've been great to watch. However, for some reason they keep ignoring what fans have been asking for since it was taken away and something that is holding back the show by not being there. Great work guys!

All pointing to money being an issue.this poll was something that didnt cost a penny in changing.something isnt smelling right they must know this isnt going to plan they know this feed issue isnt going away.

one hand the shows moved on the other the feed is back for 1 hour.People are told the formats changed but it hasnt theres just been a series of bad errors.Personally Still feel the show needed a few years off Its worked for BBAUS the rush to keep it alive Is going to endup killing it forever.

If BB Australia keep to the remarks made some months ago.
Fans of Bigbrother UK will have a feed they are used to enjoying
it appears they want normal people.no Gimmicks this is going to pose a massive
problem and could explain why Jeff ford was mentioned?

the last thing they need is an english speaking bigbrother coming along and basically seducing an Audience felt unloved in the UK.

If that was the case they should've just said that in the first place rather than spouting some BS about viewers having moved on when they clearly hadn't.

That seems to be a common problem with BB now. They can't make their minds up about anything and are scared to commit to something which could genuinely help the show. Having this BB-lite is Ok for now, but it's not gonna last all that long whereas full BB has the potential to be much more popular for the channel for longer IMO.

They just won't bloody change anything! Plus when they do make a good decision they immediately change it back again. The show is going to be stuck the same and die if they don't pull their finger out and try something on a big enough scale to see if it actually has an effect.

Last I checked it got around 1,000 votes with 88.8% saying they want it banned (so around 880 of the votes), whilst about 7% saying keep it and 3-4% saying don't care.

I totally agree.
Talk about getting it so very wrong? did they think some lame arsed excuse was going to just make everyone go away?? ..this isnt moving on this is putting a show on a channel that clearly cant afford it.

Message for Oathy for Desmond re Live Feed.

The situation with no live feed does not seem logical. The series is running for 24 hours per day.

The contestants are giving up these hours each day of their lives for it which is not being aired due to the day being condensed into a hour show.

Also the cost of the show the 24 hour production staff ,security, etc just seems a waste of money for 1 hours worth out of 24 hours ? without a live stream.

The public has not moved on from live feed in fact because of the growth of the internet as a hole i would say the demand is more huge IE most people have laptops, smartphones and like viewing things on demand.

If anything bring back internet streaming if you worried regarding the audience age then request a credit/debit card as payment to validate age.

Also, if Live Feed is so unimportant.....
Why did the housemates have it for today task?
Clearly highlights didn't suffice.

I get the feeling something isn't right behind the scenes at C5 towers
we can only hope they start listening to the fans about live feed

How is it C5 announcing the rule change?

The BB producers (Endemol) make that decision, not C5.

If the BB producers could decide whether we had a live feed, we'd probably have one.

very odd Both Brian Belo and Emma were talking about that noms talk 'being part of the show' yet the rules had changed earlier in the evening...so begs the question why didnt they know?

Having watched BB since it began and seen it through many good and bad times on C4
I was sad when C4 axed the show but my sadness turned to excitement when i found out
that C5 were going to bring it back.
i believed that C5 would take BB to a new level, creating what was good about the show
and removing what has not been so good over the last years on C4

The streaming from the house is the most important part of the show,
in order to know the hm's well enough to vote for them.
i have spent endless hours watching the hm's and enjoying the house dynamics
and conversations/events that occurred

I am extremely disappointed in C5 because i thought they would move with the modern world
and provide streaming on mobiles and internet with multi cameras
and considerable interaction from viewers to affect the day to day running of the house
A show such as BB cannot be brought down to one persons twitter view that we the public cannot see
Facebook clips and pictures do not allow the viewers to see for themselves what is actually
going on or what may have led up to events in the house

The highlights show should be a show that brings viewers up to date with the house events
not the only source of house action
BB has the potential to be great again if only C5 would listen to the fans of this show and let us once again watch our favourite show and engage with it

This 45min live show that C5 are putting on after an eviction is an insult to the fans and the show itself
Take away the basic element of the show, live streaming 24/7 and you not only remove
the point to BB itself but also remove a large fan base that no longer feels it can watch

Please listen C5 for the sake of the show and the fans
this show needs 24/7 live streaming to put the Big back into Big Brother

So twitter goes down
but don't worry you can sit and refresh Facebook
and they will post anything exciting if it happens
No C5 we the viewers should be watching from the house right now
this is after all Big Brother i believe and it is being filmed 24/7
so why can't we watch it 24/7

No matter how many new twists, gimmicks or changes to nomination talk
or so called live feed 45mins a week announcement
that the producers throw into this show, without live streaming 24/7 it will never
produce a long term rise in ratings
C5 have really missed a good opportunity this time to make Big Brother Big again
as many have said that the hm's are a good mix and viewers would have been glued to
live streaming
shame on you C5 for not listening to the fans

its sad because we strongly think ratings would get 1.7-1.8
if they just stopped pushing people away I dont think anyone would accept ratings in the mid 2 millions anymore but touching 1.8 is there to be had.Very silly by them its hurting them and the fans.

Message To Mr Desmond.

It's great having bigbrother still around.
Not great no feed.
Not great being treated like we are being ungrateful for expecting a basic service that has become so linked with the show.
It was that very service the ablity to watch Hm's 24 hrs a day gave the show its impact on the world of Reality TV.

Would very much like Channel 5 and you are the owner of that station to look at various options that would allow the livefeed to return and fans can get back to doing what they do best and supporting the best Reality TV show on TV.

cheers.

looks like the Creative Edits are back and people have noticed.
Note to the Endemol folk watching this thread..if you want to try and stop some of the conspiracy theories try showing events as is And not using the excuse for time basically to cut and shut things to suit the current storyline.

Because if thats the real deal? why endemol so silent about the livefeed..and why get all arsy when people dare suggest an Agenda is being set when people can clearly see thats the case what you think people are stupid?when you put clips on a website then they see the edited version on the h.l show??

C5 have flaws..but until Endemol stop thinking they can edit events that in turn look like they are protecting HM's the phrase 'Chosen one' will hang around like a very bad smell.
