Hope so, marc elliot is being wasted at the minute, and he's one of the best actors they have. Christians being featured a little more, but only really headshots to support Roxy. They've been in about 12 eps this year, no excuse for that, its pathetic!!

I don't know, they sort of get on my nerves. They're just written as the token gay couple and to me don't exactly have electrifying personalities. I find Syed to be spineless and boring, and Christian to be jealous and interfering. I can give or take them.

It looks like Christian and Syed come more to the fore during July and August, along with the rest of the Masoods when AJ arrives on 9th July.

John, Marc and the rest of the 'Masoods' have been filming quite a bit recently and John Partridge tweeted last week that they have "exciting times ahead" when he was at Elstree filming.

1. I hope they get a storyline, or even a couple of supporting roles, they don't have to be front and centre all the time, but things have been a little ridiculous lately.

2. Odds this thread will go well? Personally I feel slim to none.

Here's hoping we see them more in the latter half of the year! They've been filming a lot for the past week, so I think they will be getting more screentime - well, they couldn't really get less, could they?

I just want them to be intergrated more..why does syed have no friends?! Its not realistic! Even rays more intergrated and he's only been in it 5 minutes!

I agree with all of this. They really have wasted a lot of opportunities with this couple but Syed particularly and most particularly this last year.. We just haven't seen him enough...it's ridiculous not to have had some Tam and Syed scenes too through both of their recent traumas. I could give a list as long as my arm about all the times I wish we'd had more Syed...but I'll start with a few off the top of my head...between him and Qadim when he came back...with his dad on so many occasions, theirs is a complex and interesting relationship but we get few father and son scenes. They're brilliant when we get them but it's too rare. I'd have loved a real talk between Amira and Syed before she left, his friendships with Tanya and Janine seem to be left but we're to assume they exist offscreen...even though Syed and Janine have a business agreement and Syed and Tanya were quite close for a while.

Christian I understand a bit better because Johnny has had some quite long breaks. What I really hope is they aren't suddenly brought back for their CP.I'd like some build up, some more storylines first.

Watching old clips of Syed and Tamwar from the early days, you realise how much Bryan Kirkwood has zapped some of the life out of Christian and Syed as characters. Their arguments last year were well written and acted but their long weeks off screen and limited dialogue has been getting worse over 2 years now.

You also realise how much warmth and humour is missing from the show now, despite some of BK's better storylines at the moment. The Masoods relationship with Ian - and Christian's relationship with Ian - was always fun to watch.

This storyline coming in July and August is probably still BK based and it'll be interesting to see whether he got any better with them towards the end of his reign.

Absolutely. The amount they have appeared this year is ridiculous. However lack of screentime for Chryed is nothing new. They've been underused for two years.

This is the worst blackhole yet though. I can't help but think they're contracted episodes have been reduced.
