I don't know if there is already a thread but I've just read that Ted Moult from Calander Countdown has committed suicide.

I always assumed he was still alive, until I was told otherwise tonight.

RIP.
have you heard about princess diana yet?

Actually it would be nice if one day a news story pre-dating the internet could be discussed as if it were just happening.

Imagine the moon landing... Digital Spy style!

OMG! there's that man, Neil Armlock or something. He's standing on the sun!

Apparently, the last dinosaur has died - the dinosaurs are now extinct.

I heard that an asteroid is heading for the Yucatan peninsula.

It doesn't look good for the dinosaurs.

Mind you, James Delingpole has accused me of being alarmist.

I'm so tempted to do the dark humoured gag that was doing the rounds at the time, but it would probably just get me a holiday, so I won't.
Was it this one:Ready with the shotgun Fed?

I'm tempted to borrow that ancient Max Miller joke & have poor Ted trying make his way along a narrow path on the edge of a cliff, but taste prohibits [even] me from including the punch line.

My brother once caught me with this (when I was very young) :

Him - 'Ken Dodd died'

Me - 'Did he?' (Diddy)

Him - 'No, Doddy'.
