Cher Lloyd debuts on billboard HOT 100

Quote:
Cher Lloyd hits Hot 100 for first time
Cher Lloyd has become the latest X Factor UK graduate to break into the US charts as Want U Back this week makes its Billboard Hot 100 debut.

The track, which became her third UK hit as it peaked at 25 on the Official singles chart earlier this year, has entered the Hot 100 in 75th position. This follows its download sales rising week-on-week by 84% to 20,000, according to Nielsen SoundScan, taking its cumulative US total to nearly 100,000.

Lloyd’s Billboard entry follows US chart success already achieved by two other former contestants from the ITV1 programme: One Direction and Rebecca Ferguson.

She is currently number 29 on US itunes, So i expect this to keep rising up the billboard charts over the next few weeks when airplay builds more.

Also dominating in New Zealand and Canada, etcetera. Who else but the Queen? That far-off rumbling you hear is the sound of your faves running for cover.

I'm still not sure why her label didn't release this as her first UK single instead of that stupid swagger jagger song. It probably would have got a much better reception and gave her better album sales. A lot of people completely wrote her off after SG and even though her album sales were OK, they could've been a lot better.

I agree. Swagger Jagger was a completely stupid first single choice. Everyone who hated her, hated her more and others who were neutral were put off her.

With Ur Love and Want U Back should have been her first two singles (either way round).

She's doing quite well actually and seems to have some momentum behind her too. Should peak in the top 20 at least.

I didn't care for SJ but quite liked the variety of material on the rest of the album. She's very talented and I'm glad to see she is doing so well in the US.

I'm so proud of her, saw her live and she's such a lovely person and she really connects with her fans.

She deserves this so much. I'm so happy for her.

I was a fan of Cher the moment she did her X Factor audition.

Well done, Cher.

The Queen seems to have risen to 25 on American iTunes. The prophecies near fulfillment. Chermaggedon looms. Reborn. Stronger. Faster. Swaggier than before.

Detractors will look to the sky and scream, "Save us, oh hallowed queen! Save us from our low-charting faves with their #663 peaks!"

And Cher will look down and whisper, "no."

Glad I'm not the only one anticipating this as the outcome of her unscrupulous prominence. She will indeed perpetuate the music industry even more with unspeakable detriment.
