The Woman in Black UK or US?
Does anyone know if the US version of The Woman in Black blu-ray will have the same cut as the UK one?
As I understand it the UK one is missing 6 seconds and the music is toned down. |

US uncut, UK cut by 6 seconds and released with a 12 certificate. An uncut 15 certificate version for the UK has been passed by the BBFC and will be released at a later date on DVD to milk a few more pennies out of your wallet.

Guess we'll find that out on the Deleted Scenes section
IMO was just toned down here so they could get the Potter fans to watch the film which was a mistake The long lost TWIB thread was rife with people saying that kids wouldn't shut up fidgeting and whispering when the film was in the cinema |

Saw this on blu ray from love film the other evening, found it one of the most boring dullest films I have seen for a long time, how I got to the end of it is beyond me.

I was surprised at the great reviews. There were no twist or turns in the story. Lots of 'boo!' moments kept me interested but I was disapointed and thought the end was cheesy. I didn't know there were different endings.

Senior BBFC examiner Craig Lapper told the Torygraph:
"When we make cuts, people think in terms of 'snip-snip’, but these days, with digital, there are so many other ways you can make a film more acceptable. You can suggest soundtrack changes and things like colour darkening, putting shadows in to obscure the more gory elements of a scene. So in The Woman in Black, we didn’t hear the crack of the woman’s neck as she hung from a noose – and, thanks to the cunning use of shadows, neither did we see her face." From the Melonfarmers website. |

Watched it on Friday. It was ok, but not remotely scary.
