Hopefully, Simon will have missed his Dad, assuming he gets left behind when Carter leave, and we therefore to get see how life with Nick and Leanne affect Simon, and how he responds to Carla on her return. If Carla is pregnant on her return,...so much the better.

Everyone, just read this. Please. It is the funniest thing I've EVER read, we thought it up on skype and literally I'm crying so hard, tears rolling down my face and my stomach kills with laughter.

thanks for posting, have to say love the 'not bothered about leanne' part! And loved the bit with peter and carla walking with their arms wrapped around each other - even though its a far away shot they still somehow manage to ooze a ton of chemistry- I love it!
also from the preview leanne and nick seem like they will be really sweet together and have good chemistry. |

Cheers for posting
I feel a bit more reassured now because it does look like Peter's anger is all about Simon, so hopefully anything else is just Carla being understandably insecure. I also think judging by those clips, Peter is still so angry at Leanne and Leanne at Peter that even if it is motivated by regret/'unfinished business' I don't think either of them would even consider acting on them at least until after the break.
Spoiler
And Leanne calling Carla a tart Love Carla's comeback though, her usual cutting yet controlled self.

What I don't get is, Leanne goes on about how she wants stability for Simon, so Peter eventually let's her have Simon because he knows it's what Simon wants etc,
Then Leanne and Nick get back together (essentially this is the last thing Si needs, the moment he gets his mother back fully she starts a new relationship) but okay, understandably, then Stella kicks her out, okay again not really her fault but deciding to live with Nick.. well isn't that what she's been harking on at Peter about, moving in with Carla and such so soon? Erm, that's not stable for Simon, moved from Peters, to the pub and then Nicks. I know Leanne doesn't have a place of her own, but that just makes me think, she doesn't have a home, a job, how is she meant to care for Simon :/ |

awwww cute carter at the start!!!.....seriously leanne is becoming pathetic and desperate all this peter is happy why should carla get it all i have no one the way he looked at her was thw way he used to look at me ( pretty sure he didnt)lol....and then saying she is happy having simon but he deserves a mum and a dad ummm sorry he has a dad peter!!!! im sorry but all this stuff with simon i think only half of her actually wanted it but the other half just to hurt peter so she feels like she has got something out of it all.

Really enjoyed Corrie tonight despite there not being much Carla/Peter at all. Eva is quickly becoming one of my favourite characters, she's hilarious! She's the only interesting thing in this Karl and Sunita storyline and her hatred for Sunita is so funny! Loved her telling Sunita to button her top up because it wasn't a knock in shop, think thats what she said? Anyway, I'm glad that Eva is supposed to have a little fling or something with Rob because it means we'll be seeing more of her whilst also getting to know Rob. Perfect! I also love that Eva gets to make Leanne look a little bit bad as well!
Leanne was so irritating tonight. I get that it's going to be difficult for her to see Peter with Carla and I probably come across really heartless saying it but she needs to stop moping about and wallowing in it. I suppose that's what she's going to start doing with Nick though so that's something! I never really saw any of their relationship the last time because I wasn't watching Corrie as much but I think I'll actually like them together, they seem well suited. Still think it's massively hypocritical of Leanne to start a relationship with Nick though now that she's got Simon. She's doing exactly what Peter did with Carla, exactly what she went mental at him for... rightly so, I think. Just watched the little backstage video, thanks for posting. I like Jane, she comes across really friendly and cheery, much different to Leanne! I like what she said about all these different characters getting the chance to interact, just a shame that Peter and Carla will be leaving soon. Loved Carla's response to Leanne calling her a tart... it's like even Leanne's forgotten her own past! |

Well, well, well, isn't it reassuring that we get to see the old Battersby in Leanne. All survival tactics and don't mind who gets hurt,...take no prisoners Leanne !! Talk about calculating!
Well, that "halo" has well and truly slipped off. Nick offers Leanne a luxury safe haven, and his LOVE, for her and Simon, and lets call it all of 30mins later, Leanne is in the back-alley with poor Nick, agreeing to moving in with him. For the sake of Simon mind. Leanne has rammed down Carla and Peter's throats for the past few months, how selfish and irresponsible they are, and how Simon's needs must come first. Well, I suppose that is after a comic and a bag of chips in the rain, on a school night of course. Now look at Leanne! Honestly, she really does have her own set off rules.Admittedly, it was all a bit bad-timing on Nick coming to the pub to see Leanne and declaring his undying love and all that tonight. It was not like Leanne planned it, when Eva walked in on them and put two and two together about them. But, she was fooling noone when she tried to deny to Stella that she had no idea how Nick felt about her. And, later, didn't Leanne get really spiteful to Eva. Yet again, that spite!! Telling Eva, how it's no wonder she can't keep her men. Seriously?!! Her own sister? After all that's happened to Leanne herself, you'd think she could at least be a bit more sensitive! I don't know about everyone else, but Leanne is welcome to Nick (fool that he is!). Let's face it, Nick is bound to get hurt as we all know Leanne is only using Nick at the moment. Whether her feelings for Nick become more genuine later on, and she stops being in love with Peter, is anyone's guess. But right now, definitely, rebound and revenge come to mind! Great episodes tonight!! Long may it continue. I also loved Eva terrorising Sunita tonight. Excellent in fact. Really enjoying smart Barbie. She's very entertaining!

Flying visit because I really should have been in bed hours ago, but someone on twitter somehow already has this week's inside soap, and in the Next Week bit, it's basically all about Rob, which has got me ridiculously excited. But anyway, the one downer of this whole thing is it says
Spoiler
Oh and apparently there's interviews with Marc and Chris in next week's Inside Soap as well. But yeah, I honestly don't think you appreciate how excited I am about Rob arriving. I've been waiting for years for her brother to turn up, and it also helps that Marc Baylis is seriously easy on the eye. I'm dying to see how Peter reacts to him. |

Oh dear. Don't they always say they are near breaking point though?
I wouldn't be suprised if Peter makes his first verbal comment about regretting leaving Leanne or something (though in his heart I don't think he does) which makes Carla fly off. |

Poor Simon. I can so see, or I think should happen is, Leanne makes a snide remark, or something winding Peter up, and Carla tells her off for it - I can so imagine this happening and I actually think it should happen as Carla, along with Ken has been the most sane and reasonable person during this whole Simon thing, she may not have a 'maternal bone' in her body but she appears to have a much more level headed and understanding view on this than anyone else. I'd love to see her tell Leanne off for winding Peter and up and ruining Simon's birthday.
