OK so I understand the role of being a team captain but what is the reward or benefit if you win?

Just finished watching the first episode. I actually really like the show and I think the characters are a great mix and are entertaining.The challenges look good and it feels like a 2012 reality show.

THOUGHT: Why did Jacob leave, he was one of my pre-season favourites Alex is trying to be the new Dr Will. Has voting opened already I can't find anywhere to vote Alex back or not on the site?

Then why put yourself forward to be team leader? It just ensures you are in the firing line if you lose. They need to introduce an incentive for people to actually want to put themselves forward

I like Alex. The rest seem boring and stuck-up though. I'm not sure about this show though, it has the feeling of being a flop. Do we know how well its doing?

The launch ratings wren't great but they weren't bad either. Middle of the board.

I'm not sure about the way they do the whole eviction process. So the viewers vote the captains, basically people who will potentially go to limbo. By letting HMs know this that weakens their position considerably and must make them odds on to get voted out when they are up.

In effect it seems that the public simply votes people out as they see fit, with the small detail that the person in greatest danger gets a short time to change the public's perception of them during their time as "captain" and the group discussions afterwards.

The captain role doesn't seem a very good one to have as said earlier. They seemed to change the way they established who the captain was in this episode and I didn't like it so much, hopefully they keep changing the way they do it to make it unpredictable at least.

It's quite a confusing show, so many things they do they don't give a reason for!
Plus I'm not quite sure on the timeline of the game. For how long are they in "limbo" for? And what exactly are they doing/where are they sleeping down there??
Oh and another thing, so so cheesy during the voting with them pretending to do a bow and arrow/baseball bat/blowing a kiss etc.

Not sure why anyone would be surprised or bothered by Alex being voted out. He was a pale imitation of Evel Dick from BBUS. No one wanted to watch a socially awkward dweeb try to play villain.

I thought the show was trying to make him stay which is why I'm surprised. This episode was a lot better because everything made sense. I also like how the captains are chosen because it gives the public at least 1 limbo choice if they fail.

It's also really refreshing to have an up-to-date show, everything seems so slick and modern
