I love Caroline, but cut the double standards
She said Adam was objectifying women by calling Sara beautiful, then when Arron said her boobs were getting in his food she seemed to see the funny side.

She likes Arron but is not so keen on Adam

It's human nature to be more forgiving of bad behaviour from someone you like.

Another example of this would be Luke A attitude towards HMs gossiping

Last week he grassed up Caroline to Benedict over the gossiping/b****ing that she had done but according to tweets and vids yesterday listened attentively to Lydia gossiping about Caroline.

She strikes me as someone whose never been accepted by the popular crowd, and is desperate to fit in.

Oh come on. I know you like her but fgs you can't defend her on this one. What the heck is wrong with saying someone is beautiful???

I'm tending to the opposite theory: that she's always been in a crowd--I expect at her school her mates thought her hilarious. A total outsider surely couldn't fit in with the crowd dynamic so well as she has. I think she has gang mentality down to a tee. Contrast with Deana, or Luke A, both of whom are probably natural outsiders.
