So blame Father, but not Alex. ( though she used to be a right stroppy, sulky girl when she was singing in a local pub). I think she'd probably got sucked in when they realised her potential. If she'd thought about it she'd have said a big NO.

Weird, because her Dad is a nice chap, I didn't think he was a pushy parent. But he shouldn't have gone behind her back.
No one held a gun to her head and forced her to audition. I have zero understanding of people who go on these shows "against their will"...the choice is always theirs, and they are taking the place of someone who would have really enjoyed being there by "forcing" themselves to go.

And this is why they should let the public decide who they want in the top 8 and scrap the 'best in team' vote.

Well the show's done wonders for the finalists careers hasn't it?

I think its too soon to speak of Bo or Tyler.

I dont hold out much hope for Vince, and Leanne is a lost cause IMO.

Of the semi finalists, Im optimistic about Becky and Max, Jaz might have some success, but I just cant see it happening for Ruth. (I really hope Im wrong about Ruth) I think its the semi finalists who will suffer the most due to the lack of a tour. They wouldve got some exposure out of it. I could see them fading away pretty sharpish once some other shows come out and the publics attention is diverted.

I'd have hoped/expected the BBC/Universal wouldve wanted at least ONE success story from The Voice, so I dont think Bo/Tyler will be thrown under a bus when they're albums are released. A successful artist will be paramount when launching The Voice series 2 (and I DO think there will be a series 2!)

I just hope neither of these albums are released too close to Christmas & get lost in the Christmas glut...

I'd like to see Bo Bruce do well even though the show was terrible. She was the ONLY one who remotely got my attention in a way anything close to positive.

I'm not surprised Leanne has apparently flopped already. I was shocked when she won. Like I said at the time, she''s a third rate Adele clone. There is nothing she can bring to the world of music that isn't already being done better by Adele herself.

Alex Parks had a haunting voice but simply lacked any real mainstream Pop appeal.

I'd pay to see Danny's boys (Max, David, Aleks, John James and Bill) if they were to tour together. For me it isn't all about the voice- it's about stage-presence, likeability, a reasonable voice and fun. There wasn't a lot of fun in the last 8.

Bo is just an updated karaoke version of The Cranberries singer Dolores O'Riordan and she used to annoy the hell out of me then, so Bo's voice does absolutely zilch for me.

Bo has an uncanny resemblance to Princess Diana in the 'there are 3 of us in this marriage' interview
Anyway, she's ok but her dour expression and approach might begin to grate for a whole album

Isn't it about time we heard a huge mea culpa from Mr. Cohen - or is he on holiday? Most CEO's of companies who had blown in excess of £22m on a failed project would be expected to explain themselves and APOLOGISE.

So agree with you. Thought she was absolutely amazing. Made Bo Bruce look like the wet weekend she is.

When all the hype was building about the Voice UK prior to it starting about it being in a different league to the XF, who would have thought the entire tour would get scrapped and Chezza would be on in bright colorful pants miming. What a tacky joke its been. At least series 2 can only get better.

Never did the X Factor contestants any harm though...

Based on the producers being able to evaluate what aspects make other music talent shows better then improving upon those aspects for S2.

Similar thing happened with Jessie J picking a worse female singer to mentor over a better male singer. Their names escape me, but the judges said it was a shock!

Expect the usual bland corporatist nonsense from the beeb to defend wasting all those millions on this unmitigated tripe.

The Voice may have had better talent than the X Factor and less controversy, but the lack of media attention and the commercialism that brings publicity have backfired on the producers. It just shows that you need to create an act with personality and a big brand behind them to get anywhere in the today's entertainment industry, with producers and audiences.

I found the Voice dull if I'm being honest, and as much as the X Factor is rubbish and we all like to moan about it, I would long to watch it again!

After a tremendous start to the series they've somehow managed to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory and made a right royal balls up of it.

How could they have let this happen after such a spectacular start to the series?
Complacency?
Arrogance?

I loved the show for the first few weeks, and I'm not really a TV talent show fan.
Maybe little things please little minds but I loved the spinning chair gimmick.
Then when that stopped, I stopped.
It was as simple as that.

Suddenly they introduced new rounds, people were everywhere, then there's the concept of teams, I just got confused and asked ... "What is this? What's happening? Is it circus time or something?"
When they introduced that boxing ring thing it ended up becoming weirdly slightly reminiscent of that ITV flop from a few years ago called 'Celebrity Wrestling', but with singing.

Your blame is misplaced. It's the record public who didn't buy her music. The TV viewers were the ones that voted her on to win.

I never heard her songs past the very dull winning song. Perhaps her music was at fault. Perhaps she wasn't "too good" after all.

I agree that the format of the show got confusing. The whole point of the Voice was for contestants to sing so the judges couldn't see them, but that didn't seem to materialise. It was a less exciting version of X Factor.
