Grrrr - those bloody feathers - took me ages

Nah, trophies are specifically designed to show off to the world and, with people on here flat out admitting they pursued challenges they otherwise wouldn't have, I think the description is very apt. It's about willy-waving, pure and simple

Or as has sort of been tounched upon its the new 100% in a game, completing a game is all well and good but why not challenge your to get the 100% meaning you have done everything the game has to offer

Take the lego games as an example (batman 2 is still fresh in my mind) you could just play the story levels and techinally you have done the game or you could go for all the gold bricks, minikits etc and get the 100%, quite shockingly getting or doing 100% of the game gives you all the achievements / trophies so in my opinion in some cases getting all the trophies means actually playing the whole game

Given the average lenght of games seems to 8-10 hours, anything that gives you more value for your 40 quid, has to be a good thing.
