People were recommending Android tablets and the Playbook in the 2-300 quid range. Makes no sense to spend 300 pounds for a last generation Xoom or Tab if you can get a new iPad 2 for £329. In my opinion.

I'm far from being an Apple fanboy, but when it comes to tablets they offer the absolute best price/performance available. That's debatable, only insofar as some people will argue that black is white and night is day. You can take their laptops, desktops and music players and stuff'em in a cocked hat for all I care, but the iPad still hasn't been bettered at the price point.

I also heartily endorse the Vi40 Elite, and I can do that because I own one, with the proviso that it doesn't have great battery life - but none of the cheap tablets do.

The value of the Playbook doesn't look so good now with the Nexus 7 starting at £159 and having a far superior spec (and OS).

Indeed. I think the Nexus 7 will be the final nail in the PlayBook's coffin.

I think thats the one I have, and it has been just what I wanted, I had to contact the seller on one occasion (nothing wrong with the tablet) and got a reply back with in the hour with the info i needed, so far all is good

yes exactly which tablet to buy ??? ipad, samsung tab, bb playbook, kindle, microsoft surface, google nexus tabs, ehe... so many. LG made good decision when they announced they are not going to enter tablet market and instead will concentrate on phone industry. But it's good for us on the other hand as there is more competition
