Not a clear image, but I like what I can see.

I'm really looking forward to this.

I might watch this. Depends on how much (if any) Black Canary we get.

Minor question... but why is the show called "Arrow"? Surely it's suppose to be called "Green Arrow" since that's the name of the superhero? It's like naming a Batman movie, "Bat" or something.

Perhaps wanting to avoid confusion (or being associated!) with the recent Green Lantern movie.

Rumours around saying that Arrow is almost certain to be picked up for a full season. I'd expect nothing less with the cast they have....I just hope it's not at the expense of Nikita.

Not the best footage.

I wonder how long it will take for the pilot to 'leak' online?

Judging by the poor box-office performance of "Green Hornet"
and "Green Lantern", CW execs probably decided
an emerald-titled superhero show wouldn't play
in Peoria.

Extended trailer - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gk_ji5Yu_Mg

I'm really impressed with what I've seen so far. I'm not to keen on him only be known as "Arrow", but that's only a small complaint.

Looking forward to seeing another interpretation of Deathstroke, since he kinda fizzled out in Smallville (unless the arrow through his mask in the trailer is just an Easter egg and we're not really getting him).

I haven't watched the trailer(s) as I like to watch shows/movies without having seen a clip of them... but is the character actually gonna be referred to as just "Arrow"? So he won't be called "Green Arrow" at any point? Sounds like a strange decision to make on CW's part. I thought "Arrow" was just the title of the show because the CW execs didn't want to associate their show with Green Lantern and Green Hornet, but I didn't think they meant it in a literal way in regards to Oliver Queen's superhero name. That's like calling Superman "Super" or Spider-Man "Spider" or Batman "Bat" and so forth . Calling him just "Arrow" doesn't sound right at all IMHO - it simply sounds too plain and bland. I can't imagine hardcore Green Arrow fans being best pleased about this . The producers also renamed Star City to "Starling City" for some reason too.

Obviously none of that is gonna stop me from watching the show though , but I think it's very odd and will take time getting used to hearing for viewers like me with prior knowledge of the character. First and foremost, let's hope the show is of good quality in terms of storytelling and characters and yes, looking forward to the new take on Deathstroke. I didn't like the Deathstroke in Smallville at all, a very poor adaptation of the character. So hopefully, this new Deathstroke will be more menacing and deadly like he is in the comics.

That's not the same thing. Batman is one word, Green Arrow is two.
Arrow at least makes sense.

Technically, "Batman" is two words... but the point I was trying to make was that there are certain things you shouldn't mess with when it comes to adapting iconic superheroes for TV/movies... messing with a superhero's name is like the worse thing you can do IMHO and won't win you any support from the hardcore fanbase, who are very nitpicky about these sorts of things and rightly so. Most superheroes have been around for decades upon decades and the name defines what they stand for, in Green Arrow's case: a Robin Hood-style vigilante archer who fights the rich/corrupt and protects the poor/helpless.

Also, does "Arrow" not sound a bit plain and bland to you? It does to me personally.
