I actually feel sorry for her now. She doesnt even seem sure or confident about it herself watching this clip.

How can Universal have cocked this up so spectacularly?? Its not as if they didnt have MONTHS of preparation for this moment. Or prior experience in other countries.

Am I right in thinking they're gonna make a physical release of CD's for this single in July?? What is the point exactly?? Will sit there gathering dust...
Poor Leanne, she actually looks a bit embarassed by the whole thing having watched the behind the scenes clip.

It's the sunglasses that gives it a 'so bad it's good' look. They've made her look a like a guy in drag.

It is hilarious in it's awfullness.

Thank cod Bo didn't win.

Oh, dear.
I watched a bit of the behind the scenes and then the VT itself.

Well, it must be an embarrassing process to sit in a fake car in a studio dressed like Joan Collins looking longingly at some male model BUT the actual VT isn't even lip-synched properly!

Horrific. Poor Leanne on just about every count there is...

This, this, this.
I couldn't watch it to the end. If I was her, I'd disown this song & video. Why have they dressed her up like Adele (the poundland version)?

It hasn't been playlisted on any of the MTV channels in the new playlists released today. I'm sure it will get some plays in the future though, when VH1 do another '100 Worst Videos' special. I feel sorry for the girl but the whole Voice thing has been quite hilarious.

It's on 4music as well, I've seen it a couple of times.

It's a pretty boring video, but then again she's a pretty boring girl with a pretty boring voice. What else could they have done without making her look out of place? I think she suits the video to be fair.

I've not seen the video for a few days, either it's been taken off or it's not being played much anymore.

Did someone shoot this music video with their phone camera? This is embarrassing. She sounds blah in it as well. You would be better off just making her live performance her music video because she looked and sounded amazing in it.

I think UNiversal have probably already given up on her.

I suspect a quiet album release, then she'll be dropped.

I think they are much more interested in Tyler/BO (who will be given due publicity)

Any news on Vincent getting signed??

I think the producers didn't want Leanne to win I think for them it was all about Tyler.

Universal have treated Leanne quite badly so far. I hope they put more effort into her album when it's released. Although I don't go for her style of singing and I wouldn't be buying the record, she has got a good voice and she must have a lot of fans if she was voted the winner.

Universal also did nothing to promote the final 8 album and there were some good tracks on there - Tyler, Max, Bo and Vince's iTunes downloads did okay considering they had no promotion.

It's not very encouraging for anyone applying next year to know they'll get so little support. They were probably hoping someone more commercial would win, like Bo or Tyler, but whoever wins, they should do their best for them.

I think he was really being "pushed" in the last ep. Mind you, I think Bo was being "pushed" too. (although her "luv in" with Danny was a little pukey!)

If he'd won I think he'd have gotten quite a bit of bad press as his voice was not the most outstanding on the show, and the show was called "the VOICE"!

The BBC/Universal didnt get their way and now have to make an album with an artist Im sure they're not really interested in.

TBH I think it was better for Tyler that he DIDNT win the Voice. Theres always extra pressure on the winners of these shows. Runners up tend to have better careers

This!!

Its not encouraging that the show makes a big deal outta being about "The Voice" but in fact if the face don't fit, you aint got a serious chance....

Oh- and I think that the kinda people who vote in shows like "The Voice" aren't necessarily the same kinda people that buy singles/albums regularly, so Im not convinced that Leanne's victory means very much in relation to record sales

I think they've kind of proved that having 'The Voice' doesn't mean anything, unless you have some sort of star quality to go with it...who knows, maybe they'll have found Leanne's by the time the album is released?

What's puzzling me is - who picked up the phone to spend money voting for Leanne...then didn't spend 99p on the song after she won?! - although, I'd imagine it's more likely because there was no publicity that people didn't purchase, but the song was easy enough to find on iTunes if you just typed her name in

I've been saying that for a long time and I've had that opinion as far back as the original Popstars in 2001. While the winning band of that show (Hear'Say) didn't last long, the rejects (Liberty X) went on to have a really good career and released some great music which I still listen to now. I think when it comes to reality shows it pays to come second rather than to win.

Didnt her song chart BRIEFLY after the show, on downloads alone??

Dont get me started on the downloads/physical CD/video crap that goes on these days! Basically its usually iTunes> CD>vid. By the time of the video mometum has been lost and the public has moved on. Really begs the question- why bother with the vid AT ALL??

Couldnt record co's make more effort to co-ordinate releases better? It just seems so messy & chaotic. madonna's latest releases seem to illustrate this problem- chuffing mess!

Tyler charted in the official top 40 with pretty much NO publicity whatsoever (I guess it couldve been seen to undermine Leanne) which is a good sign for him.

I think Leanne did chart just within the top 40 (if I'm remembering correctly) which obviously, is a great achievement...my main point was she had around 6k sales that week....I refuse to believe that she only got 6,000 votes and won. So there are lots of people who voted then didn't buy the track...which is the bit I can't understand.

I think whoever has been in charge of co-ordinating the single should be sacked...I've said it before and I'll say it again, they've set Leanne up to fail by doing all this messing around, they could've at least given her half a chance...it's not like the video was a massive production, so why couldn't they have had that ready to be released when she won?!

I'll be interested to see how the others fair when they release their own material, some of them have had good success with no promo as you said

This is my point, and its bourne out by the X-Factor hostory too. Lots of people vote cos they want to see WHO WINS THE COMPETITION, they're not esp interested in following the artist for a long time as a pop fan. Quite often with the X-Factor the winners have a big "rush" on the initial single, then the interest falls away sharpish. Why?? Cos the people who voted on the show like the SHOW, they get attached to particular artists on the show, but within a few weeks something else comes on that occupies their minds. As far as people can see the contestant "won their prize" aka winning and theyconsider their story "finished", not remembering that the REAL prize is to have a successful recording career.

I take it Universal decided not to bother releasing a CD version of 'Run To You' after the download failed to dent the top 40? Shocking way to treat any talent show winner - she must be the first to fail to chart at all, let alone make the top 5.

Universal clearly are not happy with the winner and are therefor not releasing her songs or promoting her in any way. But she is SIGNED to them and cannot go elsewhere should she get an offers.

Shame on them.

Looks like Universal are little different to Cowell then.

This is a massive disappointment & image blow to The Voice after much ballyhooing about how they were "different" to the x-Factor.

In fairness to them, the public DID vote a no hoper into first place. It really is the public's "fault" for whoever won the Voice.

I honestly think Leanne wouldve found herself in a stronger position today if she HADNT won The Voice.

IMO Bo shouldve won, as she was the best "all rounder", as far as pop star image and VOICE went.
