Im having a few problems here. Everything was working fine up to 2 days ago when my PC decides that Firefox will freeze and after a while if I try to load it up ill get a box saying limited system resources.

Then my desktop icons all the text on them disappears and if I click on start menu all the icons show up but no text and it just seems like its gone into safemode the way the icons are large if I try to reboot.

Ive no idea why its doing this but its getting on my nerves. If I wait a while or just restart XP it corrects the problem but it is just annoying that it keeps happenning.

I have tried a malware program and AVAST antivirus and both of them came back with 0 problems. Ive not downloaded any files or anything apart from the latest Firefox update and the latest version of JAVA that kept popping up.

Those two are normally safe programs so im clueless what to do.

How much RAM have you got ?
How much hard drive space left ?

Look in task manager, anything using a lot of your CPU ?
