The Sun's Buzz to cease publication

Sky News (and ex NOTW) reporter Sophy Ridge has tweeted from her sources inside NI that TV listings mag Buzz will close.

Not surprising seeing The Sun now has revenue earning Fabulous from the NOTW.

Buzz always suffered from an identity crisis and old Print Media thread users may remember the complaints thread where they turned the old TV Mag into a fashion mag and reverted almost back to the old style magazine a couple of months later.

No surprise. Buzz and Fabulous overlap. They'll just replace Buzz with a proper TV magazine.

It was a mag that shouldn't have been published in the first place.

Some clarification from Buzz editor Terri White. They're reverting back to the old TV Mag format.

Glad to hear that Martin. Knew they'd still have a TV magazine.

What the heck? They're denying it on Twitter.

My daughter (15) hates Buzz too and still misses the old TV mag

Surprising seeing that Sophy Ridge is a credible journalist who has been spot on regarding NI matters in the last few weeks.

There's no way Buzz can continue in it's current form when Fabulous does the fashion/interviews side so much better.

The current Buzz is more TV based these days and this was before Fabulous was lumped onto the Sun, although they still do fashion and have a topless man.

I hope they do stop Buzz; I have resorted to buying a separate TV mag on a Saturday along with my copy of The Sun. I don't want fashion and crappy interviews - I just want simple, easy-to-use TV listings.

Agreed, I want TV previews and listings, not interviews with reality stars and gossip.

TV Buzz, the new name for Buzz launches on Saturday, complete with new masthead which has the old Buzz logo at the bottom of it.

Yeah. The rumour was a bit off, since it's a relaunch rather than a replacement. But we are indeed getting a proper TV magazine back in The Sun. Hopefully this will eliminate any overlap with Fabulous, and we'll see more TV coverage in TV Buzz.

Today's TV Buzz did what it said on the tin, tv listings, a soap feature, an interview with Kelly Rowland from The X Factor and NO topless bloke!

OK, I'm glad the lifestyle features are gone, but there's actually less TV coverage too. They cut the soaps section from three pages to two and removed the letters page (I wonder why? TV Mag had one. ). The listings are completely unchanged, which is fine, but more detailed previews wouldn't go amiss.

TV Buzz as it's now known has been published for the final time today with The Sun. A new tv magazine launches next weekend.

Don't like the new tv guide. It's too big and the texture of the paper used feels cheap compared to the old tv Buzz magazine. Why oh why do they constantly have to keep changing things!?
