I don't dislike her but quite often laughed at how try hard she is and how silly she often looked with the pouting and tottering around in improbable shoes.

However if she didn't want to do it, she should have just said no...if she did it for other members of the spice girls she should have been professional and put on the show biz act ...after all it's a job.

As it is she looks like Kevin the moody teenager, who thinks she's too cool, when the reality is she lucked out with the spice girls and really isn't all that , and will never be A list no matter who she fleetingly befriends.

Who knows, maybe the other girls were snubbing/being offish and cold with Victoria because she was (reportedly) the one who stopped them from performing at the Jubilee concert, and so she felt awkward and embarrassed being there with them. Couldn't blame them for angry, of course. Although I'm not surprised Victoria doesn't want to perform any more as she's been mocked so much over the years for her lack of singing talent. Maybe she's embarrassed to sing onstage anymore, who knows?

Still, she could have at least looked a bit more enthusiastic at this launch. She wasn't going to have to get up on stage and sing or anything, they were just there to promote this new musical. Then again I remember reading once that Victoria feels uncomfortable smiling and laughing in front of the cameras because she hates her smile. Any truth to that? Who knows? But I know people who rarely ever smile in photos and look really awkward because they hate the way their mouth looks when they smile (even though there's nothing wrong with their mouth!)

I met Victoria a couple of times and she was really nice and friendly ( and actually does have quite a fun sense of humour). But then this was many years ago and she may have changed and become more stuck up, no idea.

Melanie C is my favourite Spice Girl, by far. Definitely the most talented of them, imo. I have all 5 of her solo albums and look forward to her new one, where she's going to be performing show tunes. It's a shame so many people only seem to know or care about her debut album Northern Star because all her other albums are equally as good, some better, imo. Her most recent album The Sea is fantastic!

My issue isn't so much with her smiling or not - and by default I get VERY annoyed at people who try to police what expression they feel others should have on their faces - it's that by playing to her "persona" all the time she's actually coming across as ungrateful, unprofessional, and someone who makes me feel embarrassed for anyone else who is working with her. There's having a persona, and then there's being a twit. She's crossed the line at this point.

As I said a few pages back, I think it's a case of being in on a joke only she finds funny. Privately, she probably thinks it's hysterical that she's always photographed looking like she's just left a funeral. Publicly, she clearly doesn't realise she looks utterly ridiculous.

Victoria is looking fierce as always. People need to give the girl a break. And who can really blame her if she isn't as happy as the other spice girls to be there? Your forgetting that she doesn't need to be associated with them anymore unlike the others. She has made something of herself that doesn't include Spice Girls... The other 4 haven't imo.

To suggest Victoria isn't happy to be there is certainly an understatement.

Nonetheless, a little good grace and courtesy costs nothing - in all honesty it may have been more polite to have declined completely if this was to be such an arduous ordeal for her.

She didn't really do much in the Spice Girls and is fortunate to have reached where she has. To pay back a shred of gratitude by making an appearance is not asking a lot of her.

Her longevity in the public eye is helped massively by the fact that she married and remains married to one of the most famous sportsmen on the planet - no way would Posh be that high profile if she hadn't married Becks. I've said it before, Brand Beckham.

Really? Mel C and Geri have had far more successful solo careers, as I've said. What has Victoria made of herself that they haven't, other than being married to David?
