St Marlon is in the background rushing to Ashley's rescue I suppose that by becoming Ashley's hero, St Marlon is now entitled to rekindle his affair with Ashley's wife.

Yep. I bet poor Ashley would rather have been gutted like a fish and the bits fed to Tootsie than be rescued by St Marlon.

Unlikely - Edna supposedly personifies the "devout Christian" except when it comes to actually enacting its doctrine - like The Good Samaritan, turning the other cheek, judge not lest ye be judged. Damn hypocrite woman.

Remember, if you're struggling to cope with caring for an elderly relative please get help before a youth pours a can of lager over your head as you kneel on the ground.

Didn't even notice that when I first looked. So I guess once Marlon the great wife snatcher says Ashley has had enough punishment, the rest of the village will agree. We'll all see Marlon as being a saint in forgiving Ashley and demand he and Laurel get together.

Maybe Marlon will even help convince Gabby to see her father.

Hello all, I hope you're well. As Emmerdale fans I thought it might be a good idea to make you aware of a charity project that Samantha Giles helped us with. To raise money for Greenpeace she decorated a tote bag and also kindly donated an autographed photo. It really is a must for any fan.

Here's the link: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1209418696...#ht_500wt_1202

If you would like any more information feel free to PM me.

She is, and even though hypocrisy is not confined to non-Christians, her character should have been sympathetic to some degree with Bashley.

I think you might just be correct Onj Why couldn't it have been Rodney who found him? Why the hell does it have to be St Marlon of the Pots and Pans?

Yup, St Marlon but to be fair, he is quite a nice person even if he's as daft as a box of frogs usually. Oh and when he's not chasing after married women!

I suppose in his favour he does seem to care more than Laurel who when Rodney suggests phoning the police says 'it will upset the children' Run for your life Marlon! Look what Laurel's reduced Ashley to with her intransigence!

Funny how we've never seen a picture of Adam like this isn't it? The arsonist and attempted murderer - and who in reality WOULD have been a murderer because he left the scene and went back and with the nature of fire and smoke Cain would definitely have been dead.

Oh but I forgot, he's 'young', he'd just lost his dad, Cain had obviously 'raped' his mother and destroyed his family

No such excuses for Ash though eh? No 'oh well his wife is a cheating scumbag who never really apologised and made it look like she was doing him a favour by staying with him'

Lots of excuses for Adam but none for Ashley.

Sorry to harp on but this drives me absolutely nuts

Marlon was already demonising Ashley before he'd done anything to Sandy. He must be a psychic. He knew the man was a wrong'un before any of us.

I agree Lotty. I will be glad when this storyline gets finalised. It drives me mad everytime I see Ashley now.

It would be hilarious if after all is said and done, Marlon rejects Laurel with the "it's too late for us card". How the hell is he

Worse than the characters or viewers hating Ashley is him hating himself.

'I've done bad things, Marlon. Thank you for taking me in. You and Laurel should be together. You deserve to be together. I hope my children are very happy with you as their parents.'

An unnecessary character change, the actor even said it was like a new role, and unnecessary humiliation.

A great hard hitting storyline about elderly care and abuse is a riveting stuff. And looking at the characters and actors I can think of no one better than Middleton and Jones to carry it out. But all this, the affair before, the humiliation afterward. It's pointless, theres no need for it, it takes attention away from the actual issue. Which wasn't even handled right anyway.
