Ice Age 4: Continental Drift

Saw there were advanced screenings of it this weekend so I went to see it today (in 2D), and really enjoyed it. It's nothing new or different from the others, but I find that sticking to the same formula doesn't hurt with this series because it's a formula that doesn't need to be changed. I'm sure if even more sequels are made it will eventually get stale and tiresome, but for now, I think it's still going pretty strong and this is another entertaining, if completely predictable, film. Wanda Sykes as Sid's granny is the show stealer for me, she's hilarious, and Peter Dinklage is also good fun as the main villain. Before the main film, you also get a nice little short with Maggie Simpson which is quite sweet.

If you're a fan of the series and you liked the previous three films, then I don't think you're going to be disappointed with this, it's a good 90 minutes of family fun. I'd say it's worth checking out.

I absolutely loved the first 3. I'm a big kid a heart. Two of my boys are old enought to go see this at the cinema now, so I think I will take them.

Really enjoyed this with the kids

"we are family, we are family......................we are ham and cheese"

Howled at the short, also. Very funny, very sweet.

Sid is one of my absolute favourite animated characters (along with Scrat!!) so am really looking forward to this. Was a little disappointed with the 2nd and 3rd film but I've read this is much better.
