I'm loving it, and it doesn't really seem to bother me that there hasn't been a story arc so far because I just love watching the characters. It's one of those rare shows where even though the story of the week is good, I'm more interested in the character's lives. Rizzoli's mum is great!

I am watching The Sopranos at the mo as well, it's funny seeing her as Tony's psychiatrist, all serious. Then as a ditz in Rizzoli and Isles.

Great episode again. Loved all the mother/daughter scenes. I'm so glad Lorraine Bracco has a bigger part this season, her character is brilliant.

I didn't realise she was in The Sopranos. Might have to give it a watch some time

Yet again, another good episode and I finally started watching The Sopranos. I'd love to see Dr. Melfi and Ange in the same room

Generally speaking love this series... but the other week was a bit

Teen girl kidnapped... found some time later tied up in a closet... not checked out by paramedics nor taken to ER for a more detailed examination... just handed over to her parents... in the street... and no talk of counselling... REALLY

Really enjoyed the finale. Can't say I blame Maura for being angry with Jane. I just hope they don't go back to being happy best friends in the first episode of Season 3. I do love the show but I do think it needs to have more of a story arc running through it.

I'm guessing Hope is the name of Maura's biological mother and that's all she'll have to go on assuming her dad is going to die. Though her other mother seems to know him so maybe there's a lot more to it that will be explored next season.

And for those who have watched The Sopranos, how awesome was it seeing a Dr. Melfi-Dr.Kupferberg reunion?

I see it returns in the US June 5th so hopefully alibi will show it only slightly behind and not until after it's finished showing in America.

I love this programme.

I was having a look at Wiki and the 2nd season was renewed after only 3 episodes of the first season.

Rizzoli & Isles now ranks as cable’s most-watched series launch of all time. Newly released Live + 7 data for the July 12 premiere of Rizzoli & Isles shows that the episode’s audience grew to 9,049,000 viewers, breaking the overall record as ad-supported cable’s most-watched series launch ever.

It's doing extremely well.

Watched what turned out to be the finale earlier tonight - really liked it. I do agree that they shouldn't just become friends again - i think it'll be interesting to see the dynamic of the relationship with this hanging over them.

That's great! I hope it continues for a very long time. It's nice to know that one of the shows that have started in the past couple of years that I watch and enjoy is going to continue for a while

They've improved her from the first season. I used to skip over any "family" stuff as it wasn't that good. I have stopped doing that now

I've always loved Ange but I do agree they've improved on the family part. I think having Ange work at the station has worked really well, and it's good having her interact more with the other characters and not just her family.

Was there any reason why Jane's dad wasn't in this season?

Excellent stuff - glad it's getting a 4th. And glad that Alibi is finally going HD as well - just hope it's on Sky sooner rather than later.

Brilliant! I saw the article that it had been renewed and I was like "Renewed? I thought it had been given a third season ages ago " Then I saw it was for a fourth season and I was like "Oh. Yay!!!" So happy Hopefully Alibi HD come to Sky soon.

It is there already - has been a few days - just not on the EPG until next week.
