Train -California 37

This album is awesome . I'd never heard Train apart from the overplayed "drops of Jupiter" but this release has got me exploring their back catalog - a contender for album of the year

I must admit it isn't my favourite album of theirs, I think Save Me, San Fransisco is better but they've still never bettered Drops Of Jupiter.

I bought this album after hearing "Drive by".

I now own all their albums - they are in one collection for £20 on iTunes or £40 on there own.

I was wondering who they reminded me of and it came to me - there's a wee bit of "Ben Folds" lurking in there....and that's never a bad thing.
Meantime albums are on repeat in the car and just getting better and better

I'm a big fan of Train, but I'm not as keen on this album. California 37 is good with some great tracks, but I much prefer their older, rockier work on Drops of Jupiter and My Private Nation.

That said, the exposure they've had from 'Hey, Soul Sister' and 'Drive By' is great, really glad they are getting more recognition.

I brought the album after hearing Drive By and I love it but..what on earth is you can finally meet my mom about??
Has he died? is he about to die? It really confuses me.
Any Ideas?

I strongly suggest you give "Save Me San Francisco" a listen. Some brilliant tracks on that album- especially "You Already Know", which is every bit as good as Hey Soul Sister IMO (can't believe it wasn't released as a single!)

My favourites from Save Me, San Fransisco would be 'Brick by Brick', 'Words' and the cover of 'Umbrella' from the Golden Gate Edition.
